You know why we are missing on some of these recruits?
because Bama is close to playing for their 4th NC title in 7 years? And we just fired our coach and hired a DL coach?

hey dumbass, HC's don't coach

Yeah, actually the best ones do coach. You think Saban and Meyer are simply "letting their coaches coach?" No, they have their hands in everything.

The ones that don't have actual ability sit back and let their coordinators do the work. Obviously that model works for some but the modern CFB HC has his hand in one side of the ball or the other.

If we don't fire our coach we are 5-6 right now and probably have lost Aranda to Texas and still stuck with Cam as OC.

I see your logic now...

Well that's doubtful.

Is that acceptable to you?

Yes. I don't need a brilliant X's and O's guy. I need a guy with vision who can sell that vision to coaches and players. I need a CEO, not a guy who's stuck in the numbers

From a purely logical standpoint, your statement is just plain dumb. And if you can't figure out why, I sure as hell will not waste my breath.

Well you think Coach O is a great coach. Pardon me if I don't really value much of anything you say.

Don't think I will pardon you.

I haven't claimed him to be a great coach. I think he has done fairly well, not great, in the interim role. I think next year will give us an indication if he can "grow into and elite coach" at LSU. He has made some good moves with his hire of OC and retaining DC. But to make a statement that he is all grown up and therefore cannot be an elite coach, is just simply illogical. I'm not sorry I called you on it.

Illogical? Do you know what logic is?

I'm using a large sample size to reach a conclusion. Making a statement that Coach O likely won't be an elite coach based on his history is actually very logical.

Remember Bill Belichick was fired 20 years ago.... just saying.

We have to have to have an open mind because it is what it is.
