My incoming class was one of the most successful to date when we left and the student section during that time wasnt overly obnoxious, but we were loud. Sure we did do Tiger Rag the way the admin hated, but that was the extent of it. This generation is all about shock value. Its the Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga affect. They cant just be like everyone before, they have to be known for their own standards and their own standards are shite.

I have no problem with the student section when they actually show up and stay. Yelling, rowdiness, and even profanity don't bother me at all. The administration is needlessly kowtowing to the puritanical fringe element in banning all the songs.

People getting upset about the student section act like they were never in college and they know what is best for this team.. Just shut up and watch the game everyone is different why get mad about something you cannot control! The people bitching about the Students sound more immature than the students themselves

I'm just upset that you idiots keep saying things you know you shouldn't, knowing that it will get a song banned, but you do it anyway. It is just stupid. It doesn't matter if they told you not to chant something silly like "cheeseburger" and you did it anyway, knowing there would be repercussions. Just the lack of adhering to authority makes you a little shite. I'm only 31 years old btw....far from an old man.
