I want you to tell me, yes or no, is TM permanantly ineligible to play football at LSU?
He has already given an answer to this question and agreed to perma ban himself if he does play for LSU again. There is no point arguing over this anymore because we will only know if he is able to come back in a year, and we will never know for sure if TM declares in 2013.

I don't know if TM will play for LSU or not as too much could happen between now and then. But if what you say is true, then complete fricking idiots are running the show given how this has played out. If TM does his part, would like to rejoin the team, and they were to refuse him at that point, LSU would take a major, major hit. If he's banned, tell him now. Don't string him along.
This is why I think you must be an idiot savant in your chosen field, because as an analyst you really suck.

So much uninformed stupidity in this thread. Dont state your opinion of addiction as facts. You might sound more intelligent if you put "I think" at the beginning of your sentance before you state your ignorant opinion on addiction.

I am sticking with you because everything you have posted has been spot on. But the only way to absolutely prove your posts is if in a year we get news that TM is back on the team. Luckily we have a decent team to watch this year to pass the time.

VC , everything Red has said on this matter has happened. Apparently he has ties to the family. Are you still implying that he is a liar or is being lied to when all he has said has come to pass? Why would Tm sit out a year ig there was no chance of him returning?

Question for you VC. you have something about being close to a situation iirc. Is that situation in Baton Rouge?

I agree with your point... it would be stupid to force TM to play for another FBS school next season if he want to play at LSU. But stupid people do stupid things.
I am all for punishing those that are guilty but LSU has rules and penalties already in place for a third offense drug test fail. LSU's own policy states what TM should have to do to return in 2013 and if LSU decides to get more harsh on the kid than what the rules call for when someone fails a third drug test for cocaine then that will be some bad press.
I am not saying TM did coke. I am saying LSU's policy allows a third offense coke abuser to come back. Seems stupid to ban a kid for 3rd offense pot when it is permisible to allow a coke addict back on the team after his third failure!!

some people (including myself) say sobriety is the whole life style change...being abstinent from drugs but still behaving the way you use to is called being "dry" or a "dry drunk" but every ones definition is different
A drunken horse thief without booze is still a horse thief.

Are you inferring that all sober people are "dry drunks?"

A phrase comes to mind; "you, sir, are a pompus arse".
Pompous > pompus, couldn't let it go after all the subsequent quotes. And, you, sir, are correct about VC being pompous over nothing of substance.

I missunderstood. Thought you were referring to all people in recovery. I agree there are some sober people who dont participate in recovery that are virtually the same person just void of alcohol or drugs.
