It is an LSU requirement. It is in their drug policy. No rehab zero chance of playing for LSU per their policy.
Well, he spent most of the summer doing some kind of rehab program.
Hopefully this rehab(mild alter, treatment, counceling, life coaching) is intense and will make a difference.

In other words, sobriety.
Yes but with some other needed treatment add in. Like I said earlier, it is pretty clear that TM7 has some demons and substance abuse is probably just one of them.

some people (including myself) say sobriety is the whole life style change...being abstinent from drugs but still behaving the way you use to is called being "dry" or a "dry drunk" but every ones definition is different

People are giving you a hard time because you seem to know 100% TM will never be allowed back at LSU
he won't...that is all I have ever said. I certainly have no idea what TM will do...but I know that he won't play for LSU again...it's not that hard to see and understand...unless that is an outcome that you just refuse to believe....then to you, time will tell. If I am wrong a year from now, I will gladly come out and say I was wrong...no excuses either. So far, I haven't been wrong...despite what a few kids seem to say.

I didn't predict rehab exactly but I did ask this on 8/10

I have a question. Would you guys gain some respect for TM7 if he stayed at LSU this year and gave up his scholly, then walked on next year and tried to earn his spot back. After completing any and all punishments handed down of course. I know that seems far fetched but I would say that woud be accepting responsibility for his actions and working to rectify them. I am not even sure if he could do that. Just heard ESPN say he could stay at LSU but would have to give up his scholly.

none of what you said or asked has happened, so not sure why you looked this up to quote yourself. He simply went to rehab.

How are you going to say you were wrong when you already said you would leave the board (self ban)!
Did you change your mind? Do you think it is possible for the person you say is responsible for the TM infinity ban to change theres also?
Sorry VC, just joking. Figured it was a funny way of asking is the ban being imposed by a person or by a rule? If it just a person that pissed of at TM then surely that person can change their mind.

that question has already been answered by lsu...although some refuse to believe it because lsu came back and said they aren't focusing on the future...etc...being careful.

ive been told differently, he will be eligible if he completes x y and z...we shall see because i get where you are coming from with what has been said by les etc.

We probably will never know who had the better information. I respect your opinions though.
I was listening to espn radio a while ago...and guys on there talking about great move...get clean, get ready for the April draft...and they were listing a lot of reasons why getting clean is the only thing that matters before the draft...that playing football again is not really important......believe it or not, for espn, they made a lot of good points.

Come on VC give me a break. I edited out the NOT.
Tell me why the permanent ban you speak of can't be changed?

herb vincent said he's welcome back to lsu as a student but isn't speculating on his football future at this time.
unless you know more than him.

But that isn't good enough. If Admin guy X bans TM permanantly today, then 6 months from now says OK, he can play. What is to stop it from happening.
VC wants to argue with kids all day long but won't answer real questions.
Posted on 8/17/12 at 1:28 pm to omegaman66
he is eligible to play again, when he completes everything...everything ive been told has been spot on so im sticking by it
