Not necessarily, but programs are usually specific to certain addictions.

Right now, LSU's stance is he is welcome to return as a student, but they are not speculating on him playing football at this time.

I have a question for VC or anyone in the know that is willing to share.

1. Initially would TM have been allowed to return to LSU or was the "permanant" ban because of his action after the intial meeting?

2. IF being kicked off the team was the initial punishment, why was it more harsh than what the LSU rules call far in what we belive (3rd offense pot) he did?

I am happy for TM that he is getting the help he needs and hopefully this situation will humble him. My wish is that he gets his life back on track first, and that he is able to pursue his football dreams in the most successful manner possible.

You got it babe! Maybe you wouldn't mind sharing some more of your vomitus insight. You appear to be well-liked and your opinion/sourced valued.

For those saying that he must have been doing more than weed to have to go to rehab, whatever drug it was caused him to be kicked out of one of the best football programs in the country. Whether its weed or something harder, he has a problem and needs help. Hope he can find that there.

"If my information is correct, he will not play for LSU again". Yet, you have no inside source according to your often repeated words. As is the phrase "I am only speaking from the LSU perspective". That implies a source as well. Or else it is all just your OPINION as you put it. And get past insulting everyone by calling everyone who disagrees with you a kid. I am in my 60's, have a masters degree, own my own successful business & I disagree with you as well. A phrase comes to mind; "you, sir, are a pompus arse".

Some gems from VC 4 days ago.

quote:

well kid, I am in my 40's....MBA from Tulane...Accounting from LSU, and have a significant consulting company. I'm paid to think and analyze. You obviously want to believe what you want to happen. One last time, I'll take the word of s SENIOR LSU OFFICIAL. Good luck to you, and by all means, stay in school.....with experience and education comes wisdom. You need some.

quote:

No, I'm not. I'll leave it at that. Again....I realize I am talking to three college aged kids here......and I completely understand you guys wanting to hang on here in hope. It ain't happening. I can't and won't say anything else about it. Again, believe what you will, but you are going to be disappointed if you believe there is a chance.

quote:

lol...well kid, you might be right.....I've been called worse. However, in this situation, I haven't had my arse handed to me at all. I know the exact timeline of everything that went down yesterday. Let's just say I'm a lot closer to the situation than you might suspect. I can honestly say, I haven't talked to anyone but 19 and 20 year olds here. It is apparent that you guys think you know it all. I'll let you go ahead and run with that. Life has a way of bringing us all back down to earth at some point. Later kid.

quote:

I do, however, take the direct quotes of a senior official making a bold statement in no uncertain terms that TM will not be playing again at LSU. That, I take pretty seriously. As I said...I'm a little closer to this than you think. I'll tell you what, if I'm wrong...I'll never post again on the Rant......and I'm not even asking you to wager anything...I'm that right

quote:

Tired of you kids worshiping this guy. He let the team down, let the fans down, and let himself down. He had multiple chances. Time for him to move on. I do know for fact he isn't coming back. Whether you believe it or not.....and obviously you don't...but it ain't happening.

Almost left this gold nugget out:

quote:

seriously.....not a lot of dumbasses live in my neighborhood...but hey, I'm sure there are some. BTW, you have been played. I mean that. Have a great day.

Looks like he may have an opportunity to return to lSU after all. He comes from a family where dope smoke permanated the home to such an extent that there were jokes out theer that Miles must have gotten a contact high is he signed him at his house. So this is a positive move for him, personally, professionally, and LSU in my humble opinion

When the JJ saga was going on there were idiots just like VC claiming inside info the JJ would never ever ever wear the Purplr and Gold again. How did that turn out?

This makes me think it may have been something more than pot. Who goes to rehab for pot? Unless it is part of a deal TM make with Les and LSU to get back on the team in 2013.

Kind of reminds me of Half Baked.
