My son took a football to get signed after a game last year. TM7 and Big Sam stayed much later than anyone else...mingo as well
I am sure he is a good kid, just used some really shitty judgement this close to the season and let his teammates down. Wish him the best, I am sure he will regret it.

What sucks about the situation is that Tyrann isn't aware enough to realize what he's throwing away. If he is aware of it, then he's just a selfish prick. Bit if he's not aware, it's just a damn shame.

Wonder if Saban and perhaps other coaches might-ve looked away at HB's 1/st/2nd "mishaps"?
i don't think the coaches administer or control the drug testing. i think the university does. maybe saban steps in and circumvents the process at bama, i don't know and i doubt he does.

Would TM7 been repremanded at another SEC School? How does LSU stack up? I heard Ole Mrs has a 6 strike policy. Maybe LSU needs to relax the standards a bit

I imagine most prime athletes believe they are above the system and will find a way to get out of whatever they get into.

Did TM not know about RP?
If he thought he could beat the system after RP is IQ is --never mind

I have a question. Would you guys gain some respect for TM7 if he stayed at LSU this year and gave up his scholly, then walked on next year and tried to earn his spot back. After completing any and all punishments handed down of course. I know that seems far fetched but I would say that woud be accepting responsibility for his actions and working to rectify them. I am not even sure if he could do that. Just heard ESPN say he could stay at LSU but would have to give up his scholly.

I am proud to be a tiger fan today. It sucks to lose one of your own but I tip my cap to Miles. In a day when winning at all costs reigns supreme- building future men and Americans with an ethical approach is paramount. I wish both LSU and TM7 the best. We all make mistakes and learn from them. May DBU step up in 2012!

He would be a hero and probably one of the most respected players ever IF he did that and committed himself to change.. but this isn't happening.

That would show a tremendous amount of character to sit out a season and come back committed.

I don't have any less respect for TM for what he has done at LSU in the past. Athletics are a current and fleeting business though and someone else will become the team star in his place. By the end of the year he will be an afterthought. Unlike RP, I don't think his loss will hurt LSU that much.

I guess the people who will cross the line at three times are the same who will cross it a six. They just enjoy pushing up to the lines.
I have thought this will hurt the season, because HB was a huge spark for the team and personally turned several games around.
Then I thought it is Miles's willingness to eject a Ryan Perrilloux and a Tyrann Mathieu when they're extremely important to the team that means the other players get closer and rise above. If we keep these players despite their transgressions would not it mean better this year but a long decline after the first year? When Ryan Perrilloux was dismissed it left us with a QB problem we are only now coming out of, four years later. But those have been an exciting four years, and we almost won the title anyway. I'm not so sure these last four years would have been so good if we were in the practice of keeping the Perrillouxs and Mathieus.
All the same, this really, really hurts.

He's in this predicament because this is exactly what he's lacking.

I think it's a judgement problem more than a character issue.

Life is bigger than football. Maybe being out of the spotlight will help TM get his priorities straight.
