What game were these people watching? During the game, I was saying we should stop running the QB because it wasn’t working except for short yardage. TJ is just big, he is not a runner.

God dammit for the 1000 time. RPO doesn’t mean the QB runs.
He does allow us to run read options though

You don’t know what an RPO is bean lmao
Posted on 10/25/20 at 9:24 am to P bean
Sometimes I think we are being trolled. Until I hear it on National tv broadcasts and radio shows.
It’s a FACT that “experts” don’t know what the frick an RPO is. Yet they have influence on our programs and our staff. Truly amazing.

We gashed SC with the run mostly befause TJ was excellent at running the QB fake/keeper.
Excellent? He ran 8 times for like 20 yards.

Lol, uhh RPO means “Run Pass Optio.”

He had 18 yards! Only 18 yards and you morons are considering him a running QB.

That’s not what he said. Stop trying to be a know it all.
Right, fricking miserable turds on here. And we didnt run the read option. They were RPO’s - the option to pass was there and TJ hit Gilbert and Marshall on quick slants off it.

Love Brennan, but TJ allows us to run the RPO, especially the running plays.
This is what I said.
We literally ran RPO the entire first drive. fricking jackasses on here.
O line was firing off. RPO repeatedly and had their heads spinning.

We ran the RPO the entire first drive. Lol.
The read option is run option only, which some idiot on here thinks we’re running apparently.

You are correct, but a qb keeper can be included in the RPO decision.
Posted on 10/25/20 at 9:35 am to P bean
TJ keeping the ball is not an RPO lmao. You frickin clown
Posted on 10/25/20 at 9:37 am to P bean
TJ played really well but he’s not really a running threat. He’s slow actually. Anybody that saw him play in high school or play HS basketball knows this. Kid is a pocket passer and a damn good one.

LOL!!!!!!!!!! Hahahah, no we ran RPO’s, how is this being argued?
Ya’ll think we were running the read option last night? Run only? This isnt the wishbone.

Our offense is built on RPO’s.
Ya’ll are retards.

Maybe next time you should actually know what an RPO is before you drop your expert QB analysis, champ.

This really only happens on a broken play. The quarterback must read a defender or coverage and decide to hand the ball to a RB or throw the ball. It’s a split second decision, it’s decisive, it must be one or the other.
There are plays in which a QB reads a DL for pull or give, then if he pulls, the QB has the option to read a second/third level defender to either throw or run (out of the pocket). This is essentially triple option, but instead of pitch it’s a throw downfield. I can’t remember seeing LSU run this at all in the last two years, but I’ve seen it from Oklahoma, Auburn, etc

No one is claiming LSU doesn’t run RPOs. You incorrectly claimed that Finley is better at running RPOs because he can run, when a quarterback’s running ability has no effect on the type of RPOs that LSU is running

Actually thats you bud.
This offense isnt built on RPO's at all, they ran them less than 25% of the time last season.
Its clear you dont know what you're talking about.

That’s more of a triple option because at that point you’d have to throw horizontally and not downfield
We’ve ran that once
