He's our ace and this does not bode well if he continues to have control issues.
Did he have control issues? I followed on TD but couldn't see the game because watchespn wasn't available in Japan. He seemed to be ahead 0-2 in a lot of counts. He was averaging 12 pitches per inning through six, which indicares great control. Then, all of a sudden, he got slammed.
I never did get an idea why, because people were too busy bitching at Manieri for not pulling his ace with an 80 pitch count after the first sign of trouble
Was Lange in the middle of the zone? Was his curve hanging? What happened?

The round ball was strucketh at the most opportune times by the cylindrical baton.

That video you made 2 years ago, I think it was during the regional when we were down and everyone was in full on melt then we battled back and won. I've searched many times before and can't find that timeless classic....

One of the most beautiful and the most frustrating things about baseball is that it is a game of long periods of ups and downs, as well as a game by game thing. You can have weeks where the team just can't get it right to save their lives, but it can be followed by weeks of sheer dominance. By the same token a team that's awful can play one game or even a series where they wipe the floor with a much better team and then come out the next day and suck again for weeks to come. By the same token you can be the hottest team in baseball and every now and then get your arse handed to you by an inferior team then go right back to dominating. Does this team have no small amount of concerns? Of course. Am I worried? A bit, yeah. But I'd like to give them a few conference series, let alone one conference game, before we pass any kind of universal judgement on this squad as a whole.
