This is the same issue O had at Ole Miss.
He won a national title with a heisman and lost 20 starters at Ole Miss? Damn I must’ve missed that

If the downward slide continues its time to shitcan O and bring a Neil Brown or Billy Napier type for a partial rebuild

What kind of "heat" do you propose? Woodward foolishly made him the second highest paid HC in all of college football (a salary NO ONE would have given him outside of LSU). Now, LSU has had a nuclear bomb go off in their athletic revenue stream and they literally may not have enough money to make a change even if they wanted to.
Credit O. He had a MONSTER season last year and took advantage of the AD in his "drunken" excitement (figuratively, of course) following a season every football program dreams of the cash in handsomely. O's not going anywhere. All you are left with is hoping that his general approach of trial and mostly error to building a program will "hit" on a championship team once again.

This is when I couldn't take your post seriously anymore. Besides, didn't he get suspended anyways?

He had horrible roster management and attrition at Ole Miss. That's what he meant and you knew that.
Thankfully he inherited Aranda and got Burrow to come to LSU. Those guys are gone and what's left of the Ferrari is a Ford Pinto on 3 wheels.

What does that list look like without the influence of Covid ?
The answer is 'normal'.

What sucks is we are coming off a n.c. Season...No other program has seen the amount of attrition LSU has.

I just don't think O ever had sustained success anywhere and I do not believe we will see it here at LSU under O. With that said, there aren't that many coaches out there that can do what we all want that are not under contract.

Bro, we have entered the extreme "me" era with social media, society and the young generation all focusing about me and doing me and not wanting to wait or play second fiddle. Its going to happen.
Young men should look out for themselves. There hasn’t been a lot of opportunity in this country since 2008, and a young man who has a shot at pro sports should absolutely put that shot above everything else. These college programs have been selfish for years- they could’ve at least lobbied to buy suitable insurance policies for pro prospects. So wrong while coaches and athletic departments make millions.

So, he's not doing all he can, but if we heat him up, he'll try harder?

Started drinking early today, huh?
Betcha he could find a job quicker than you could hire Jimbo or Herman.

So you think he didn't beg them to stay. Any coach with half a brain would have given them plenty of reasons to stay. Chase was the only exception.
