Jake, you seem to be grouchy tonight. You need me to tuck you in?
People are freaking out over something that anyone with half a brain knew months ago. This class was too packed with talent... We were gonna be hit by the draft and hit hard. The situation we are in now is nothing like last years ZVR and Colvin situation. We KNEW these guys would get drafted high and get offered money they couldnt refuse.
Now, I didnt think Lee would have been drafted this high, but I still didnt expect him to land on campus unless his "want" to play QB at LSU was that much.

I'm still crying over losing Joe Fontenot, Gil Meche, Carl Pavano, Austin Nagle, Laynce Nix, etc.

Listen you have to have this type of kid in order to compete in major College sports. You win some you loose some. If we did not sign this kid when we had the chance too and he ended up somewhere else then everyone would calling Les and idiot. A no win situation he still may end up here he really wants to be a QB he would make more money in the NFL than in MLB. JMHO!
I think he is coming to LSU he has already said he wants to play both sports in College and he wants to be a TIGER!

So you're saying we should've never went after him because there was a chance he could go pro in baseball? Is that what you're saying?
Do any of you tards think before you put your fat, stubby fingers on the keyboard?

How many threads did you make this exact post in?

Why say anything else? I am not like a lot of these cats on here posting just to be posting and wanting to knock our program every chance I get. I say what I feel without hurting our program and stand by it.
You don't think we should go after the best out there and try to bring them to campus? Isn't that what yall are knocking Les about now by not signing the best we can get? Well we are and yall are still kicking him for it so, yes I will post this as long as these type threads keep poping up.

To be fair, LSU lost 3 of first 29 pics (if u count DeShields) from this signing class. I didn't see any other colleges hit that hard.
Ole Miss, Arky, Bama, Ariz. St. lost 1 each I believe. Miami may have lost 2-3.

This is a great idea! Instead of signing some big time guys who are so good they MIGHT go pro, we should go after sucky baseball players who have no chance of being drafted. Oh wait, that would mean wed have a bunch of bad mediocre baseball players ON CAMPUS and wed have a mediocre baseball team. Oh well it sounded good until you actually stop and think........ For a milisecond

this literally happens EVERY YEAR. and if we didnt recruit and they ended up going to school elsewhere, rantards would scream "why didnt we go after that guy"
Posted on 6/7/10 at 11:05 pm to mamoutiga
Comments were not made to question our philosophy as to point out the reality of being hit hard by the draft this year compared to the rest of college baseball...which is without a doubt the hardest sport to recruit.

The correct answer is that the draft needs to occur before signing day.
