I'll quote it again.

Why?

If we had Andrew Luck in there, Crowoton would screw him.

Change the QB fine. I'm actually for it. But let's not kid ourselves into thinking it'll be swell and shite with Crowton still calling plays (or whatever genius is responsible).

I don't think you should stop posting criticism, it's just HOW people post criticism. One can be constructive when criticizing the team.

Look, the offense does suck right now, but the defense and special teams are championship caliber. And let's look at one positive on offense: we can run the ball this year, something we couldn't do last year. JJ is regressing, but the offense is improved from last year. The defense and special teams have made quantum leaps.

There are negatives to talk about, but we shouldn't lose sight of the positives. there are some great things about this team. Hell, I don't really care who the QB is, I just think we should run the ball 40 times a game. It's just not letting the negativity eat you, and the team, alive.

And sprinkle some play-action and designed rollouts in there somewhere and you can give this outrageously good D and ST's something to work with.

I agree with the positive nature of this thread. I find myself moping around in other areas of life as well and that is rediculous considering my age and the fact that i'm letting college students and overpaid football coaches determine my attitude in these other areas. That being said, is it possible that Miles, Crowton, et al are holding back on offense because to this point there has been no need to divulge anything else because we have had the games in hand with early leads, defense and special teams play? Just curious.

He really screwed Flynn didn't he? That offense in 2007 was at least as bad at the offense today, right?

Flynn was already progressing into what he was before crowton arrived .... JJ and JL we supposed to be developed by GC and obviously we see how that worked out ... GC obviously can't coach the QBs that is for sure

Booing and negativity isn't healping anything at all. Nice to see someone else see the light.

Really glad to hear this. All the negativity isn't whats best for the team. JJ's confidence is struggling and booing him only makes the problem worse. I don't want to be part of the problem. I want to enjoy watching these young kids play! PP, TM, ER, MC, MF, RS, RR all deserve us to cheer like hell!

I turned the corner late last week...

I wait in anticipation for LSU football every day from the last tick of the bowl game until the first kickoff of the season.... I spend thousand and thousands of dollars each year to attend these games....

yet, I was making myself and those around me totally miserable because a single teenage kid who is trying his hardest can't play as well as I wish he could...

I decided last week that I will take the team for what it is (and that is damn good in most all aspects)....we are 4-0, top ten ranked, and have the potential for one hell of a season...

I was relaxed and had a damn good time at the last game and plan to do the same at the rest as well...

Spankum you just described me to a tee. I was a little later turning that corner than you, but I'm around it now and this week is going to be fun. I sense big things from the Tigers.

I even have a good feel about JJ this week. Not predicting outlandish numbers, but he did throw the ball better in the first half last week and ran it pretty good.

Good thread, even if we win this weekend then go to the swamp and beat the gators, there will still be complaining. I too wish the offense was even slightly better, but remember "Defense wins Chapmionships". Beat the vols!

We have a championship level defense that will keep us in every game. We don't need many points to beat anybody with this defense. We only need a small increase in the level of QB play (whoever plays) to be successful. Just don't get your panties in a wad if we don't break 35 points all year. As it is now that just is not what this team does.

We do need to find an idenity on offense though. If we are a running team then give Ridley a fullback and give him the rock 25 times a game. Designed runs from the QB is the one thing that drives me crazy about the play calling. If JJ really is better than Lee no sense in getting the kid knocked out running the ball ala Hatch a few years ago.

Good post. We ultimatly have no controll over the game so its best to try to enjoy the good things and not dwell on the negatives .
