Tiger, I agree 100%. There is nothing that we can do about the QB situation and it is a shame. Our team is solid in all areas but QB. If we had a QB, we would be a dam strong team. However, our bitching is only going to hurt recruiting and not imporve the current situation. We have to trust the coaches that they know what they are doing with JJ and JL. Remember it wasn't too long ago that Saban was in the same situation and didn't handle it well. From this time going forward, I will support the team and hope we get a QB for next year.

I can assure you I'm as far from new age as they come.

I'm just not going to wallow in negativity anymore. Its not good for anything. I"m not saying everything is fine adn dandy with the team and the sun rises and sets in miles' hat. I'm just saying there are some good things we can hang our hat on and be happy about.

Yep. for me its not just my own expectations but just letting myself only focus on the negative stuff to the point where I can't enjoy the good stuff the team does.

Good post.

Hang in there.

I do think the negativity of the fan base starts to reach a tipping point.

I thought we hit the tipping point after the Vandy game.

This is the O. We don't have a qb. I'm glad to see others accept it.

Enjoy a wicked blitzing D and the best special teams I have ever seen at LSU (1987-present).

Yeah, I posted this in another thread but many of us are taking a glass that is two thirds full, or a third empty and drowning in it. Running game, offensive line, special teams and defense are dramatically improved. I think as much grief as we give the staff for the passing game, they deserve a little credit for the improvement as well.

I am as staunch a Miles critic as there is, and I agree with you Shrubber.

IMO, we have improved in all aspects of the game except the one obvious omission. The frustrating part is I think this team is good enough to win a National Title, but we don't have a QB that can get us there. If we agree that we are one player away from a legit contender, than why won't Les try everything in his power to improve the QB play. I think the fans would be less inclined to boo, if he at least gave Lee a quarter or two, if we saw more pro sets, if we saw more Wildcat ... anything that would give us a signal that he is willing to try different things. What could we possibly have to lose? Things couldn't get any worse on offense could they?

It's more than the QB. It's the head scratching play calls. Whomever is calling plays, they need to GTFO after getting their arse whooped.

It's burn the clock time..... and they call 3 straight passing plays???? WTF?

I'll tell you one thing that we dont' talk about enough. When a team plays LSU, they leave the field battered and bruised up. Our guys on Special teams and defense are bringing the wood. Third stringers are out there on Punt returns and kickoffs just lighting guys up EVERY TIME.

You see Jai Eugene who isn't getting a lot of time right now, but he gets in and delivers a huge WHAP on a receiver and stops him cold. MINGO just blasted Gino in the end zone as he was throwing it.

I promise you on Tuesday and Wednesday those boys are still feeling those hits.

You had ALL game to try and get 100 yards of passing offense, lets get out of here with the win.......

NOOOOOOO, we need to press our luck and try to top 100 yards of passing offense.

I just don't know anymore.......

Yeah our special teams and defense are things to truly to be proud of.

I know everyone wants to see the QB change, and believe that will fix everything; the play-calling is our biggest problem right now.

While Im still not full blown positive...at the WVU game I found myself just accepting what our offense will look like for the rest of the year.

been screaming this for a while now.

As an LSU fan, if you can finally just accept the fact that we have no QB, you'll enjoy the games more. Instead of booing, like most of TS, I didn't say jack shite when the offense was on the field nor when they trotted off the field. Screamed like hell when the defense was on the field.

I'm drawing a line in the sand today to make a change. I'm challenging the other fans who may be in my boat to do the same.

So you are serious?? Really? I am actually glad to hear that. No need to piss on your own birthday cake, huh?

You can't say with a straight face that JJ's play excuses Croton's play-calling. I'm sorry, Crowton is the root of the problem.
