LSU has a huge void in leadership academically and in the athletic dept. A void as bad as the Wharton/Joe Dean circus of the 1990s,

Joe Dean was a very good AD. He made sure the Athletic Department budget was always in the black. Joe Dean gets a bad rap for "not improving the facilities." He did what he could with the resources he had. Things are always evolving though and now TAF is in hock up to their eye balls. If LSU football has a couple of losing seasons, things will get ugly.

This has been called for by many on this board multiple times. Just a bitch fest. Doesn't much matter because the opinions don't matter. It's like spitting in the wind. I don't know why people continue to bring it up.

i'm at crossroads because while he hasn't exactly accomplished anything of note, he inherited a complete dumpster fire that hadn't yet surfaced before he got here.

He was hired because he was suppose to be the guy that could handle the budget situation the best. I think it is safe to give him a big ole fat F on that issue. Instead of getting creative all he has done is play fear tactics and whine to Congress. There are alot of issues with the budget that are outside his control, but he has done nothing to fix the situation.
