I don't think you understand what the word "thug" really means. The NBA is actually filled with a diverse group of young athletic men from around the world who have been very good at what they do in entertaining sports fans around the world despite where they came from. "full of thugs" is a demeaning and invalid generalization of NBA players- a league that many believe is filled with young men who do a lot for charity and give back to local communities and speak out boldly against injustice around the world.
