So you are OK with telling a kid who went 4-1 in his first five starts that he FAILED?
Yup. You are a shitstain. Plain and simple.
Wisky isn't in the SECW either, as well as Iowa.
But Jennings failed.

This is such a tired argument, and easy on the personal attacks there

yea, I saw lots of poise last weekend.

Agreed. The fact that it is even an argument is pretty sad.
Do I think BH has more upside than Jennings, yes.
Do I think Jennings FAILED? No. He hasn't even played half of a season yet.

Sorry. Just tired of seeing our idiot fan base attack coaches and players the way they do.
This place is becoming the Finebaum show of the internet.

It's like these kids act like the obvious didn't happen. Harris wasn't ready for that stage yet....period. He either didn't know the plays, or was so hyped up that he couldn't think straight. He also couldn't come close to completing 10 yard passes, on numerous occasions. I thought he should have sat out a few series in each half, just to try and gather his composure. I think everyone, including us sunshine pumpers, realize that Harris likely has the greatest upside. But there is a difference between letting a kid play who makes a few freshman mistakes, and letting a kid play that doesn't know the play and clearly can't execute any of the plays. Hopefully Harris is ready to go this week, and I think he has a good shot at getting it together.....but no way can you say Harris is ready based upon his play this last weekend. People keep saying he was in a bad position....Hell, he was getting 2nd and 2 or 2nd and 3 a lot...but you gotta know which way to turn, where the rec is going, and be able to hold onto the ball from center......self inflicted.

at least he was able to lead the team to some points early before getting hurt
jennings didn't do anything with his chances

clearly harris was nervous. we've all seen what he could do against new mexico state (3 TD passes, 2 rushing TD's)
he's capable of playing well. I chalk auburn up to first start jitters

can it really get much worse than Moo St. running a train on us at home ... and then being non-competitive and getting skullfricked by Auburn ?
Sure, how about losing to UAB at home, then getting skullfricked by Florida and then scoring only 3 points in a loss at Arkansas to end the season?

Holy crap! What game were you watching? Cause it damn sure wasn't LSU/Auburn. I have no doubt that Cam will get him there. But it's gonna be a minute.

It's hard when ur coaches show u no confidence. Confidence is the main key to being poised.

and exactly how did the coaches do that?

Even if Harris would not have gotten hurt I would have benched him. It was clearly not his night and would not want to destroy his confidence by making his frustration continue. With young players making them work through it can be good or bad and you have to take it on a case by case basis. And before some Rantard goes off on me, yes I was a high school football coach.

That's the wrong to say about Harris's play. Ability, probably but we don't know that yet. He has to throw catchable passes against sec talent. Poise??? Ha, ah that's the exact opposite of what Harris showed in his first start. He left pockets way to early, was way rattled, messed up play calls, and was nervous as all get out.
Not saying he can't develop poise but this is not the time to be bragging he has it.

Jennings did no better than Harris when he came in. I don't see the rationale for starting him again. he is what he is. Harris needs to get experience and reps. we are going to lose almost every game anyway….let the kid develop so he can dominate the next 3 years

Whoa!
Harris was 3/14 for 58 yards in the game (52 came on one play). 0 TDs 0 Ints. He did set up LSU's lone score, but also engineered drives that netted: 2 (non-penalty) first downs in 2.5 quarters and Nine (9) three-and-outs. His incompletions weren't even close to catchable
Jennings (albeit in garbage time) Went 5/10 for 84 yards 0 TDs, 0 INTs. That included a 37 yard pass to Diarse, a 40 yard post to Dural; and pass to Dupree that would have been a TD without PI on Auburn
Again, I'm not saying that Harris can't be a great QB. I'm not saying that he won't develop into the greatest QB LSU has ever had. However just as the hype he received before the AU game was ridiculous; statements after the AU performance that he's CLEARLY better than Jennings are just as ridiculous

Mett struggled early. Look how that worked out. It felt like his arse sat forever behind Lee and Jefferson...

Harris is on the bench now? Since when?
Oh, you and Tim must be confusing taking your starter out in garbage time with benching your starter. Not surprising.
