ans staes rights was a code word for racis. Technically not but the masses believed in it. Tim may have hit a nerve. in the 60's LSU fgans held up a sign that said Bama was going to the NAACP tournamnet.
and I know nobody will admit this but in the 70's when an opposing black player was shooting fouls, LSu students yelled 1,3,5,9 who's thta monkey on the line

You don't know what you are saying, much less who you are offending, not that you care. A word of caution, get your facts straight before you start throwing out the racist line to season ticket holders that have paid to see LSU play for years, irrespective of the ethnicity of the players, staff or coaches.

I agree that too many LSU fans are ignorant racists, but I disagree with Brando's argument that race has something to do with the basketball team getting less support from fans than the baseball and football teams get.
It's obvious that LSU fans will give great support to the basketball team as long as they are competitive for several years in a row. That is evidenced by the Shaq/Chris Jackson years. People are just tired of the ups and downs of the last decade and they are finally starting to get back to being fans again.
