I am calling for 11-1 regular season and west title. Anything less is underachieving.

I like us against any team not named Bama. If we go 11-1 and give Bama a tough game I think we are in the CFP. I'm not conceding Bama, but I have to see our offense show a pulse to consider us competitive.

I'm usually pretty conservative on expectations, but with a SR grad QB and the talent and experience amassed, we need 2019 to be the year that we make our run.

Defensively we will likely lose Lawrence, Fehoko, Fulton, Delpit, Divinity, Chaisson, Vincent and Phillips. I think 2020 will still be a good team, but will probably take a step back due to all the roster changes. We can't squander the 2019 talent on this team.

is that different from "winning"? if it's not exactly the same as winning, so what?

I don't care who respects LSU, just that they win

Well said

And that isn’t even mentioning the possibility of losing Aranda at some point.

And the offense will have to adjust losing Burrow and 2 or 3 OL as well.

2020 is pretty much a nonstarter, especially when you factor in schedule and traveling to Auburn, Florida, and AM again, so 2019 really has to be the year.

I liked the "Locking Down the Home State" graphic with LSU at the top. That said, the Georgia "fail" is misleading. If they filled their entire class with Georgia players for the last 4 years, they would still only have a 74% because the state produces so many good players.

and they basically have us in the college football playoff next year,

I'm ecstatic that the media has LSU in the playoff. Unfortunately, this media anointment means jack squat.

Yep, we are most likely still a couple recruiting classes away from really making a serious run at the SEC title and the playoffs but it is still in the relm of possibility in 2019 if things go our way

So 9-3 would be acceptable again since LSU is still “a couple of classes away”.

actually you are incorrect, any positive publications regarding LSU football is good for and helpful in recruiting. And while the comments won't help with on the field play, it can help in steering the right talent to LSU so that means a hell of a lot more than squat!!!!
