I am strictly talking about the difference between a complete non athlete and an athlete
and in this sense, as a potential MLB prospect, Buzzy is closer to a non athlete than an athlete.

Just dont be suprised if it does happen.
i will be. a 5'10 guy that throws in the high 80s and has throw 7 innings all year?
id be surprised. We arent talking about the next Roy Oswalt here

I agree with you. But I've seen stranger things happen. I've seen a backup catcher get drafted in the 48th round as a pitcher and he never threw one inning in college. A kid who was all of 5'11.
This all started because I was throwing Buzzy in the mix as a complete wild card, not a sure thing by any imagination.
Unfortunetely, this discussion has gone on all day and I have a bad feeling you are going to completely kill me when it doesn't happen.
I'm prepared to take it.
I've enjoyed it btw. I like your points

ive had a friend drafted that was drafted solely because his brother was, and they wanted him to look over him. He was a shitty baseball player. I know weird shite happens, its just unlikely

Damn I'm good.
Before I spent 3 years at ULL, I spent a year as the token white player at Southern. MP was out there as a 3rd baseman. He didnt play one inning, didnt dress out, and didnt even get a number. Sure enough, he gets drafted in the 18th round. I always knew it had to be because of Xavier.
Not suprised he was drafted for that reason, but suprised he went so high.

yeah, he's a good guy though. Hate for it to sound like I am talking shite about him. He's scouting now for the Dodgers, actually. How much he is respected on the scene remains to be seen.

Yeah, I liked him, we werent bff or anything but we got along. I knew exactly what you meant when I read your post.
The Dodgers treat there scouts well. If he is a scout, thats one of the best organizations to be with.

Yeah I know Kahn. He is a real good guy and a prime example of the non-athlete I was talking about earlier in this thread
