I just don't get it....LSU and in general, Louisiana, has to be the winner in planning to do things, but not getting it done....and if it does get done, it's f***** up when it's finished. We all know of the fiasco with the west upper deck, what it was planned to look like and what it actually does.... The east upper deck, from the outside, there were banners hung that displayed all of the LSU SEC championships in football...I remember walking under them to get to my seats in the south end upper. I was with friends, and we thought...that's pretty cool. With that, I told them that they better enjoy them now because they will not be there in a few years due to neglect. It's actually embarrassing when ya see the other SEC schools take care of and display their championships in some sort of way....NOT at LSU...and it pisses me off.....I was actually surprised when they installed three separate flag poles for the three National Championships....LSU had two of them on one pole for four years....I'm suprised that all three arent on one pole....yeah, I know, that's minor, but it proves a point. How much can it cost to put up an eight foot, four inch galvanized pipe?

Daigeaux, I agree with what you are saying. Whoever is in charge of LSU's facilities needs to take a look at Bryant Denny Stadium and Tennessee's facilities. Neyland is getting an upgrade and overall UT's facilities are great. LSU builds a 1st class baseball stadium and put advertisements all over the stadium walls. The lower bowl of Tiger Stadium needs addressing.

i think they should focus their attention on the dorm windows on the outside of the stadium by the tiger cage..the paint is chipping off and there are many broken windows. all it would take is a fresh paint job and some new window panes and it would look 100 times better

I hope not. I do not like the hedges. I went to GA last year, and I was not impressed with the hedges.

This is a thread that pops up every other month or so it seems. I think it would be a great idea for TD.com and TAF to connect on here through a monthly thread. A member of TAF will answer questions and read comments that we post. Obviously an admit would have to monitor the thread so that it is used for constructive criticism and ideas and not abused. I definitely think TAF getting personal with the fans on here and answering questions like these would open up a new relationship with alumni and current students.

LSU probably isn't going to enclose the north and south endzone because the cost to build it would not be made up for with ticket sales. Upper deck endzone seats are the cheapest in a stadium so it may not be worth it financially even though it would be awesome. When Michigan was talking about expanding the stadium people wanted a bigger bowl with bleacher seats but the school decided it could make more money with luxury boxes. Cool factor and money always seem to conflict in college football

There are so many inaccuracies in the OP, I don't even know where to begin.

I agree that they need to do something to address the crappy chain link fencing around the field. Hedges? Probably not. It seems like that's the answer from pretty much all of the other SEC schools. I would like something a little unique to Tiger Stadium...but I'm just not really sure what can be done that hasn't been done somewhere else already.

I like the chain link around the field. I like how there is barely anything separating the fans from the players. Hedges or a track would just put up a barrier. A track is a horrible idea. LSU is not a highschool.

They should plow up the playing field and drop it several feet so people down low can see the game......and put in an artificial turf....

How do you like that silver drain pipe hanging down from the West Upper Deck? Do you think an architect would have thought of that before it was built? What a great gift to give your university. A silver shite pipe for all the world to see.

Great work guys.

Malaysian Tiger had it right. There used to be hedges in Tiger Stadium and were removed. What would you put to separate the field from the fans? I'm pretty sure the track around the field was a sarcastic answer. At least I hope so.

Yes, there needs to be some cosmetic upgrades to the stadium but money is tight so changing all the windows becomes a low priority item when compared to a new basketball practice facility. And don't forget, TAF is footing part of the bill for the new band facility.

As for putting in artificial turf...not happening in Tiger Stadium.

I'll just be happy when Sept. 18 finally arrives so I can get back in and watch our Tigers play.

The hedges feel like a UGA feature, I don't think it would fit Tiger Stadium. But the fence is pretty rough.
