are they working on the new North Stadium Plaza right now and when is it supposed to be completed. In time for the start of the new season?

Look at the locations of the gates and pedestals on the rendering and on the plan view that I linked. They are the same gates.

Geaux here. It's a safe link (according to Norton) with a PDF document.

Will answer all your questions. I'll try and upload the pics to my photobucket, paste them on here later.

Guess the band won't have a hill to come down on in the future as well...

I'd be ok with losing the hill if we gain that sweet beach.

Why are so many of you people so hellbent on doing a NEZ expansion? There is such a thing as too big. That north endzone is an iconic image. Don't touch it. The stadium is big enough. Last thing we need is a bigger parking nightmare.

In a word: suites. The SEZ expansion will bring the number of Tiger Den suites up around 130. A similar expansion in the NEZ would give LSU around 200 suites. Alabama has 159 "skyboxes" atm in BDS.

Premium seating is where the money is in sports.

This. And that's the only reason I could think of for any sort of NEZ expansion.

One one hand, I doubt there are any serious plans or interest in expanding the NEZ in the near future. On the other hand, however, they are almost certainly going to want to add additional suites at some point, and I don't know how they could do that without touching the NEZ.

Well, as you already pointed out, there is room to extend both the east and west upper decks.

But IMHO, it makes more sense on every level to just bowl in the upper decks. For aesthetics, for sound retention, and getting the most bang for the buck.

Indeed. I'd just be curious to know how many suites that would actually add relative to the cost of construction. And you'd also have the additional seats in the uppers that would need to be added for symmetry.

I agree. I'm just very attached to the NEZ exterior, especially after all of the recent and future updates.
