Tiger rag radio host don't seem to think CC addition is anything special...

1. They read a article from Baltimore that point out CC's shortcomings.
2. They said that Mettenberger might be a good QB not great.
3. Miles will continue to be the problem with the offense, because he won't keep his hands off. Big picture: the offense will continue to be Les.
4. It will be the same conservative offense.
5. Looking at the offense's players, there won't be anything great to expect.
6. They don't think CC had many options other than LSU. (Questioning his ability or couldn't find a NFL team who wanted him)
7. Detiller, who I really like, only talked about improvement at QB. No talk about better play calling or player usage.
8. They questioned the fans excitement. "The fans act like Bill Walsh is coming to town. "
I'm just not hearing anything positive from these guys. I know everyone is taking a wait and see but I'm pretty excited about the change. Stud wasn't the first choice for OC. Kragthorpe got ill so they made the change. I was hoping they would shed some light of CC's strengths that could better the team.

Cam would have gotten an NFL gig in a heartbeat. That leads me to believe he wouldn't come here to be Miles' pawn. Not to mention he and Les go WAY back and Miles trusts him to run the offense. It will be the same offense, but Cam is better at running it.

It would be smart to take a wait and see attitude but most people I talk to feel like CC is the 2nd coming. I feel like fans sometimes get a picture of what they hope the OC will be and fit the hire into that frame without looking at all the facts. Same thing happened, to a certain extent, with Mettenberger, Crowton etc.

We literally have nowhere to go but up as far as play calling goes.

I believe what the players, like Drew Brees say! Not some slap dick from Tiger Rag who doesn't know nearly as much as guys like Brees, Flacco and Rivers! I'm pumped up about the addition!

It will a depend on Oline play, can they find a left tackle, and can Mett continue to develope. If those things don't happen any OC will be shite.

Tiger Rag hates LSU.

I refuse to believe, "there won't be much to expect from the offense." This is a top caliber OC with top recruits. I can't wait.

Exactly. How many basketball players immolated MJ, but never equal his success? Vince Carter for example. Carter was a better athlete than MJ but MJ had that it factor. Others:
Buddy Ryan's >>> Ryan boys.
Bob Stoops >>> Stoops brothers.
Bobby Knight >>> Junior.
Ken Griffey, Jr >>> Ken Griffey, Sr
Mike Krzyzewski >>> Tommy Amaker
Just because you have the same philosophy doesn't mean you'll have the same success. Hopefully, Miles wants to do is what Cam can do. IMO, Cam needs to be allowed to change they way LSU practices. It's obvious that what happens on the practice field isn't translating to the game field.

I think the '13 offense would be better with or without Cameron, but the defense may have growing pains.
Cameron may add enough to overcome any defensive shortcomings at least through the 1st half of the season until theres a gel period and a field general establishes himself.
All the rest of the Tiger Rag points are bullshite to stir up listeners.

How many former NFL HC coaches are OC's in CFB?
I will hang up and listen

Well, those guys should be knowledgeable, based on personal experience, of what constitutes "nothing special". Five minutes listening to their ignorant blathering should confirm this beyond question.
It is a time-worn and despicable tradition, in evidence nowhere more than on talk radio, television and The Rant, to try and elevate oneself by tearing down those more accomplished and more important.
Children (of all ages) will be children.

How many of those guys also happened to be best friends with an elite college program's head coach, at the time he needed to make a huge change for his OC? Cam may work, he may not, but this is the top guy available, and Miles got him here.

That's it. Bottom line.
The two biggest strengths of Cameron are the two biggest reasons bama has pulled away from LSU the last few years:
Bamas ability to develop qbs and get their rbs and tes involved in the passing game and LSUs inability to do the same.
It's that fricking simple.

Immolating MJ would've been the only way NBA players could have equaled his success.
