I was sorry to hear about the current tiger band student who passed away last week. Anybody know how it happened? His name was Eli.

Took something he should not have according to a post by a family member on social media.

The news story made it seem like he thought he was getting adderall, but what he actually got was fentanyl. No idea what the truth is

His pregame spot will be left open the last two home games this season to honor him. I think that is a great tribute.

Damn!! Unfortunately it’s not difficult to believe. That exact scenario has played out thousands of times around the country in recent years. I’m constantly preaching to my 22-year-old son to never take anything he comes across from a friend or acquaintance.

fricking tragic!

RIP. Fentanyl is crazy. Narcan is legal over-the-counter now. I tell every adult - especially those with risk-taking-aged kids to keep some on hand at all times. You never know.

Could be legit, either way folks, you can't trust anything you didn't make yourself if you didn't get from a pharmacy. It's just not safe.

Anybody caught selling that crap, goes up for attempted murder or murder, as the situation deems. I hate drug dealers.

I have one trying to get into med school. Straight arrow but this scares me to death. UCF has a Narcan dispenser about every 100 feet, it seems.

That sucks. I've only ever taken adderall when I was prescribed but honestly it was very useful in college for last minute all night studying and getting assignments done. But frick buying it from some shady dealer.

Prayers out to the family

Human nature because we want to convince ourselves it can’t happen to us.

Never take it from a friend or acquaintance until they take it first. Give it a cool half hour and then you’re good to go.

Beats the hell out of taking anything from a stranger.

You're missing the point. I'm anti-Big Pharma but what the person was saying is that if you at least get a prescription, you're not going to be given something purposely laced with fentanyl.
