They would rather have a running back throw a jump pass.
I don't think this had anything to do with confidence in Mett...it was more of a Miles "let's see if this works" play. It was a horrible play call.

They didn't have confidence in Lee.
They don't have confidence in Mett.
They had it in Jefferson?
What a bunch of asswipes.

It's obvious by the play selection, and the extremely low risk pass plays that are called Les Miles is scared to death to pass the ball. This sissified version of a passsing game allows the defense to stack 8 and 9 guys in the box. Les Miles needs to watch an NFL game or two. Pro teams don't play scared, they play to win. Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Drew Bree's all throw interceptions...it happens. Why doesn't Les realize that Kenny Hilliard, Michael Ford, and others have all fumbled this year, yet somehow we still call running plays?

I don't know for a fact which coach is at fault...Les or Stud, but the offense has been predicatable for the last 3-4 years. In 2007, we mixed it up perfectly most of the season with Perriloux and Flynn, but since then our coaches have nor succesfully developed a Qb or had a QB capable of running the offense in the same fashion. But in 2008, 2009, and 2010 the same problems were prevalent.
However, this year is the first year our o-line has completely sucked.

they got what the deserved then. idiots.
Mett is a better passer than anyone on that staff is an offensive coordinator.

Had the receiver been open we would still be talking about how great of a call it was.

Head phones weren't working.....
If that were the case wouldn't Fla have to give up theirs? Or is that an NFL rule?

You can pretend this is a presidential debate to make your points against Mettenberger. But the facts are, this offense is limited and lacks creativity. It is - and had been - an embarassment for a Top 5 program. Out of the elite teams, the Tigers have had the worst offense in both form and function for some time now. LSU lacks receivers this year? Previous crap offenses scared off of talent like Justin Hunter and Mike Davis. I could go on.
I still recall scoring more than oregon and wvu, two of the best offenses in football. Our offense didnt suck last year. We just arent as good this year missing key players on O. Mike davis sucks and yeah hunter is good. Landry was a five star, same with rueben. What are you getting at?

RB pass was...Magee...simply trying to catch them off guard.
Umm, catch them off guard? After TWO time-outs w/ a seldom-used RB surrounded by coaches on sidelines, then coming in game and lining up 10 yds. deep? As Homey The Clown so eloquently stated, "I don't think so!"
Now, if you can call the play w/o the TOs, hide the lil guy in the OL monsters, sneak him out there, then MAYBE...(shoulda woulda coulda)

10 years later this will still be going on.
