He said that in his post. Are you just trying to be an arse?

Seemed like he could have pulled the string at 0-2 and sat them down rather than throw 3-4 extra pitches per batter.

You do realize he only threw 85 pitches in 6 innings with 13 strike outs. That's an average of just over 15 pitches per inning. Your not going to strike every batter out with 3 pitches

He was an absolute monster. No need to change it up when you are mowing them down.

We ended the game with 20 strikeouts. We got 8 outs (thanks travinski) that were not K's. That is incredible.

He an averaged 4.47 pitches per batter. Being a strike out pitcher that is an insane number. Butlers 2 hole batter probably changed that number by .25 - .3 he fouled off a few with 2 strikes. Skenes did what he was supposed to do and absolutely dominated inferior opponents and didn’t walk anyone.

Our pitching coach called his pitches. He must have wanted to work the fastball.

Not really, tons of college hitters can make contact with high 90s fastballs. Thats why location and changing speeds is more important than velo

He won't throw many sliders unless necessary.

Against better competition, he will change things up from what he is doing right now.

Regardless, he has a pitching coach that is thought of as one of the best in the world. This whole thread should be deleted because of Wes Johnson.

When the blur enters their zone they react violently with incredible bat speed. The movement causes the fouls and foul tips.

Is anyone else overly impressed with the amount of people that can make contact with Skenes 98-100MPH
