My dad played at lsu and I have his jersey like the one Jimmy Taylor is wearing .

as for the other teams, you're proving my point for me. people are just ignorant and think that bama/psu/etc have never changed their uni and neither has lsu therefore, alternate unis are for programs that don't have "history".

That’s awesome. Believe we wore that style in only ‘55 and ‘56. I’d have to check for 1954.
I’d love to see photos of the jersey.
I ran across someone not long ago who’s father played with Y.A Tittle, and they still have his jersey.

Some great ‘war time’ covers, as mentioned. One of my all time favorites is ‘43 vs TCU. ‘44 vs A&M and ‘42 vs Tulane are also pretty awesome.
