How many games are in a season?

Are these just arbitrary thresholds to create this list of 3 or is there some meaning to each that I'm missing?

Burrow ranked 42st in passing attempts, and only 5 QBs finished with 4-5 ints. I think it's impressive.

Yeah, against Arkansas, Rice, A&M, and UCF. Only two of those are P5, and only one had a defense worth a shite. But yeah, I'm happy LSU finally figured out how to pass the ball against shitty teams in 2018. Watching the offense against Tech and Southeastern made me want to rip out my eyes.

And FWIW I think Burrow had a good given the circumstances. The problem was Ensminger and his complete inability to make changes through out the game.

Weird how often it actually has happened over the past 20 years.

Never thought I would see the day when people bitched about a 395 yard performance.

But we've arrived.

Burrow in any competent offense would be a much better player, I firmly believe that.

I'm not bitching about a 395 yd performance. I laughing at the fact people are touting it as some amazing feat when other football powerhouses do it on a regular basis against teams like those. I mean for frick sakes, Temple was able to put up better offensive numbers against UCF that LSU, and they were a terrible team.

Roger I know you have been a long time fan to never be surprised at the vitriol and negative attitudes of Tiger Fans.

With expectations like these Ree will have the rant looking forward to a 8-4 season by the time August rolls around.

What a job.

This board's obsession with bashing Ree is weird. Kinda creepy actually.

I was told by one of these people that it's impossible to be excited about 2019 because we are going to Lose to Alabama anyway, so its a waste.

I was told by this same person it's up to the head coach to get him/her excited.

I was also told that if you hold out any hope that LSU can beat Alabama, then you believe in ghosts and fairies.

And this person claims to be a "fan"

Obsessed.

Not to mention a bunch of patented Shrubs's strawmen.

We should start calling them Shrubsmen arguments.

Well, how about his stats over a 4 game SEC stretch? That would be far more important in regards to playoff expectations, right?

Several of you guys are going to be mighty disappointed in our passing game during crunch time, I'm afraid

I don't disagree Burrow did well and poised to be an LSU great, but please leave this dumb shite out of all QB arguments unless you remove drops from every QB.

Pretty sure there was a SDS or PFF study showing LSU was better than mid-pack in SEC drops also.

You know how many teams had more passing yards than LSU? About 75. You know how many teams had more TDs than LSU? About 70. You know how many teams had a better passing rating than LSU? About 60. When you have to cherry pick to this extreme to find positive material to post about our offense, it only shows how bad it still is three years later.

Just proof that cherry picking a four game span goes both ways. Except you picked games against good teams to show what it's like during crunch time and Roger picked games against scrubs to try and fluff stats. Oh FWIW that's 1/3 of the season(square in the meat of LSU's schedule) without a passing TD.

I can’t wait to see two of the best QBs in the nation go at it. I’m glad each team gets a warmup game too - and that they’re such cupcakes that the entire defense can be subbed out at halftime to avoid targeting calls (which is a DAMN SAD thing to have to say).

Wouldn’t be surprised for these three to be the top O’Brien finalists.

Sports reference gives passing stats for players with at least 14 attempts per game. 107 players met that criteria. Here is where Burrow ranked in major categories:

Completion %: 77th

Y/A: 50th

TD: 65th

INT: 13th

Rate: 64th

Rushing: 25th

Rushing YPA: 33rd
