I don't think this is something you will see very often, but I also don't think it's dumb. CLK clearly likes to ride the hot hand and it had become blatantly clear that LaTech needed 4+ players to get 7 down.
If one guy can't be stopped by an opponent, expect that guy to get the ball from any and every look.

Yeah so I was not advocating for him at rb. I think he played there on Saturday as many have stated as a means of misdirection. I guess I’m a dumb arse for asking about what has already happened? And shame on me for the abbreviated name. I repent, oh TD purist!

I guess the reason is that in short yardage situations he could go over the top. Other than that I see no advantage.

fricking hated seeing it.
He is not a running back. Dude jumped at the line to try to get a first down, when there was a lane to run in to his left through the A gap.
He isn’t a running back, though, and has never trained that vision. So, he jumped.
And his long legs and shite jumping like that is a good way for him to get cut under and hurt.
Keep his arse out of situations like that and keep throwing darts to him over the middle and fades to him when he’s up against a Nickel or LB
