Thoughts on this Starting lineup, batting order, and reasons?

If I was the coach, this is the starting lineup and batting order I would like to see.
1. Bingham CF
2. Milam 2B
3. White 3B
4. Jones 1B
5. Larson LF
6. Travinski DH
7. Neal C or Milazzo
8. Braswell SS
9. Pearson RF or Frey
I like Milan in the 2 hole because his ability to switch hit. Plus he is more of a line drive ground ball hitter and that’s good for moving runners over.
I like breaking up Jones and Travinski because those are 2 potential strike outs and can be inning killers with them hitting next to each other and in front of a guy like white who will hit and get on base.
For a Freshman, Larson seems ready for his opportunity and is good at making at bat adjustments and making contact. He’s definitely an upgrade at the plate over Kling.
Also mixing up the lineup to where you don’t have left handed hitters following left handed hitters, if at all possible and this lineup does that.
Neil and Milazzo need to be our every day catchers. They do a better job of framing pitches and Travinski’s hitting seems to be effected when catching. Maybe it’s fatigue.
Pearson and Frey can alternate between left handed and right handed pitchers.
As for now Kling needs to be late game pinch runner and in game defense substitution. No doubt he’s the best defensive outfielder but this team won’t go anywhere if it can’t start hitting and scoring more runs.
Pitching is plenty good enough for this team to make to Omaha and win it all again. I would consider Herring as a weekend starter.

I like it! Also let them play together and mesh. Maybe they will be consistent and win some games.

Larson took two bad angles in left field yesterday and took a ton of time to turn and throw it. Bingham in left probably keeps runner on third on extra innings last night. In a game three where hits are plentiful, you have to stack defense.

I like giving Larson some opportunities, would maybe put him in RF and Pearson in LF though. I was thinking the same thing during the game about Jones and Trav

Bingham is really rough defensively in left. Just going to struggle even more in center.

You had me until you said this. Not this year we are not. We will be lucky to win 15 SEC games and will be fighting to be. 2 seed. Too many holes in all phases of the game. We lost too many experienced players and Jay needs to do better out of the portal for us to return to the promise land.

I’m not saying it’s great but the pitching has been better than it ever has at LSU. We just need more consistent pitchers that can throw strikes. We have a lot of big arms. We obviously don’t have a Skenes pitcher but those rarely come along and if they do, they don’t make it to campus. Those guys usually develop late.
