We know Dottery is the anchor with Weeks out, and Keys will probably slide over. Ross is out for the year.
Looks like we have Singleton and Zach Weeks as backups, but what's going on with Keylan Moses..Dylan Moses' brother?
What about Jaiden Braker and Theo Grace as fill-ins or spot duty?

I feel good about Singleton from what he has shown when he's been needed. Plenty of athleticism there. I won't be shocked if Whit's injury keeps Benefield around the box around as often as he was there for this A&M game. Zach Weeks taking a step up in October would really solidify that unit in Whit's absence. Hard to ask TJ and Keys to play entire games with only 1 guy behind them that we trust. I would also think this is an opportunity for Jimcoily to get involved around the LOS in that STAR role.

This guy knows what he's talking about.

Cobbins & Jimcoily could probably slide in if necessary at least against UK and McNeese.

Great post. Singleton looks like starter level talent.

Just keep him out of coverage and we are good

.

Agree with most of what you said. I feel very comfortable with Keys filling in for Weeks. Singleton looks to be a future star and I’m exited to see him get more meaningful playing time. But… I will say that up to this point, I haven’t seen the natural instincts from Zach Weeks like his brothers possess. There also hasn’t been much buzz (that I’ve seen) from practice and scrimmage reports. West and Whit showed high level flashes very early on. It took West longer to earn a starting role but he looked better than Zach at this stage. I’m hoping it’s just a matter of reps.

Jimcoily 6’3 220. Not sure he isn’t getting moved back inside after this season. Dynamic player, just not a safety

I love the thought of Jimcoily as a linebacker, he’s a big guy and athletic. But you’re right, he ain’t a safety

I think it might be exactly that. West and Whit had to play a lot early on out of straight necessity because the LB room simply was not good when they arrived. Zach has sort of had the benefit (or drawback depending on how you look at it) of coming into a deep room. I'm hoping to see his speed and instincts flash during this stretch of subpar SEC offensive lines.
