Everyone forgets that he only been here like for 4 months. He was at Ohio State up until May or June. Timing isnt perfect but I trust his accuracy.

I’ll sum up how I feel about Burrow at QB by simply saying I feel very confident with him behind center...more confident than I’ve been in awhile.

Thoughts are that this guys is a moron. You really can’t see how improved our QB and offensive play calling are then no one here can help you.
They will both only get better.
They will both only get better.

I think a lot of u have never played a game at QB! He just got here & needs time to learn his receivers! Also I think he will improve with every game!GEAUX BOREAUX!!!

Totally agree. He said it himself in an interview. He's purposely putting the ball where it can't be picked. Our receivers are still learning, and the staff is learning who to put where...slot, out wide, etc.
That's all in growing. You can't teach poise, intelligence, or grit. Joe has those attributes naturally.
This offense will get better and better!

I have no complaints. I really don't care about the completion pctg at this point since there have been no turnovers.
He's made a few mistakes but he's been practicing with the team for less than two months. He should continue to improve, I expect it this weekend

The biggest thing I see from him is that he is very much in control of what is going on out there. I don't recall one time seeing him appear flustered. Even when he's facing pressure he's shown great poise. He goes on the road in a tough environment (and Auburn is maybe the most underrated venue in the SEC) and was in total command of LSU's offense.
The second thing I've seen from him is that even though his completion % is low, very few of his passes are off-target. Many times the LSU receivers have been covered like a blanket, thereby forcing incompletions.
In previous years we saw QB's who just had no idea who to throw the ball to. (Ex. If Harris' first read wasn't there the play was essentially over). We saw guys who were terrified under slight pressure (Lee); Guys who held on to the ball too long (Jefferson) and guys who just refused to make a big throw (Etling).
In 3 games Burrow has shown himself not only to be a good decision maker, but also a guy who isn't afraid to make a big throw.
To be a great QB you need 3 things above all:
1. Great decision making
2. Accuracy
3. Confidence
It's still early. But thus far, Burrow has shown himself to have all three

People are forcing this Joe Burrow is so much better than Etling narrative a ridiculous amount

He has been Danny Etling almost to an exact replica so far
Posted on 9/18/18 at 10:33 am to lsupride87
No he hasn’t.... I don’t remember plays last year that Etling was changing plays at the LOS plus Burrow has shown he can throw it downfield better that Danny.....

Burrow battled this weekend, just like etling. But his passes downfield seemed to float significantly compared to his crisp crossing routes he threw

I honestly feel like yall are watching completely different games

For example, lets pick three comparable games from last year for etling
We will Use Auburn (compares to Auburn for Burrow), UTC (compares to SELU- FCS schools), and Notre Dame (Compares closest to Miami)
Etling averaged 56%------221 yards----1.33tds----0ints
Burrow is averaging 46%-----180 yards----1td-----0ints
Yall are either overselling Burrow or underselling Etling
Not sure which one

Buddy, Burrow had more pass attempts last Saturday than Etling ever did in a game at LSU.

What games did Etling have to win throwing the ball? It shows that this team is more reliant on Burrow throwing than last year with Etling.
