we are running same wide open offense as last year.

If you give Joe Brady & Linehan the same 10 plays, they aren’t going to call them the same.

I swear some of you are so damn basic

I’ve had no issues with the play calling. Lots of new faces that need to execute. There are multiple wide open receivers on every play.

Last year Burrow and the other players executed so well that “bad play calls” were rare.

The main difference between a bad play and a good play is execution.

Well, sure, no 2 coaches would. I don’t know enough about Linehan’s past or current role to judge yet, but you’ll recall Joe Brady was not available to call LSU’s plays this year as he is now an NFL OC. Y’all talk like we fired him and chose Linehan instead. But you know that’s not correct.

He’s 57 and on the wrong side of being innovative

Do you think Joe Brady will suck at 57? If so, how do you explain Bill Belichick?

Insert any frickin coach you want and the point stands.

The plays are only one variable. The sequencing & adjustments are arguably more important

What does that mean? There were a lot of CEH up the middle for no/short yards on 2nd down after a successful first down play. Burrow would hurry the team up to the line after an 8 yard play, take a quick snap and hand off to Clyde up the middle. Sometimes it worked, lots of times it didn't. What is different this year?

Just what you said. We look to be much more deliberate on 2nd down, taking our time concentrating more on moving the sticks than pushing downfield.

It’s not necessarily a bad strategy it just makes it hard to be dominant which was our MO last year.

Unless I just missed it that wasn’t a bunch, though it looked similar.

The bunch was split out from the line a bit but that is still a bunch formation
