Going to be a good game.
Anyone who thinks SC is going to waltz in here and smoke LSU hasn't been following the other teams and games in the SEC.
Vandy should have beaten SC in the opener, score was 17-13. Shaw got busted up, and Lil Rodgers had the SC defense gassed (they have awesome starters, second guys, not so much - i.e. not great depth)
SC beat Kentucky 38-17. Florida beat Kentucky a week earlier 38-0. Dropped passes out of the equation, LSU-Florida game has different outcome.
Sky's not crashing. We have some problems. Many are fixable. Hope the Florida loss helped to pull this team together. Think it will be another tough, SEC game. I like the Tigers chances at home at night.

LSU is a 3 point favorite???? Might be the easiest underdog money in the history of college football.
USC 24, LSU 10

I think a lot of you aren't looking at this objectively.
LSU has a great defense--#3 in total defense. But what great teams have you played? Florida. That's it. And Auburn nearly beat you, in their down year. Why the sudden confidence that you'll destroy a hot SC team?
South Carolina played in only one close game this year, and it was their opener. They've never done well in their first game, but excuses aside, they figured out away to win. SC was flat for most of the game, but prevailed.
Against Kentucky, SC looked nothing like a top 25 team in the first half. But given there are two, they got their stuff together and looked like a top 5 team in the second. They outscored Kentucky 31-0 in the second half.
I'm not saying SC is going to blow out LSU. In fact, I think it's gonna be very close. LSU has the home crowd advantage, and I'm not alone in thinking that's a huge factor. But don't underestimate SC's defense, particularly #7. There's a reason why people are already saying he's the #1 overall pick in the 2014 draft and how he could get drafted in the first round this year if he were eligible. He's truly a freak of nature. LSU's O-line will be his biggest test so far this year and you can guarantee Les and Co. are figuring out a game plan to overcome his talent. Will it work? Possibly, but how many other coaches failed to make a game plan to shut him down?
I respect your team and your fan base (you guys are awesome at the College World Series, even when you're not in it your fan base makes the trip). But don't think SC is an easy win. Georgia fans thought the same thing.

I saw how ineffective your offense was without him. I'm guessing the coaches have seen this too.
So, I'm giving LSU a chance to win this game based on the presumption that Shaw doesn't finish it.

I fully expect you to liquidate everything you have and shove it all in on the cocks since you are so sure. You can even get the Double nut by LSU winning and you cashing. Don't be a pussy, now.

We absolutely CAN beat South Carolina. It's idiotic to think otherwise.

this is the catch dude. Doesn't matter what YOU see or don't see.
Team needs to see it. All that matters.

USC will come in flat. (Let's hope).

1) LSU struggles most against 3-4 defenses....SC is 4-3
2) SC has been dogshit on the road....should've lost to Vandy and was losing to Kentucky at half
3) SC blew their load in the UGA game. Classic let down Saturday following an emotional big win against a rival at home
4) LSU is talented enough to win
5) Tiger Stadium Saturday night
LSU has a chance to win....it's up to the players to make plays in this one.

I haven't read the whole thread, but anyone who thinks this is plain retarded (and yes, we have quite a few of those on this site).
Personally, I think USCe win last week was the best thing for LSU. No way LSU underestimates the 'Cocks, and if anything, USCe may come in flat, giving LSU a little more of an advantage. Face it, Spurrier usually finds a way to "out-think" himself and lose a game or two he shouldn't ... I'm hoping this is one of those games.
