Some of them state it in ways that make them come off as miserable. The people who say they refuse to watch the bowl game, and wouldn't go to it if they lived across the stadium seem miserable.

There's nothing negative about wanting to win. That is why you play the game(keeping score).

Maybe when you were 10, like myself, people probably thought the same way. The vehicles to put those feelings out there is so much more easier today.

Not a LSU graduate. Just a huge fan.

Geaux Tigers!!!!

Because I don't let my perception of LSU football make me a miserable person? Odd.

LSU football is a business. Pres FKing made it clear that he would not allow any changes because of the business "black eye" that would come along with it. So, now that we've clearly established that;

Would you walk into Ruth Chris Steakhouse and let them sell you a cut of meat at their prices, that was exactly what you could get at Applebees?

Are you gonna let Macys sell you a pair of shoes that came from Target?

When shopping for a Lexus, are you going to pay them for a Toyota, that they just switched the name plate on?

Our coach is the 9th highest paid coach in the country. Our Conference has been the top conference in the country. Our fans pay a premium price for game day experiences. But for the past 4 years we've been getting the production of an above average football team. He plays not to lose, and his personal goal is to get to 10 wins.

But, hey, enjoy that $49 steak topped with Heinz 57 sauce. And dont you dare complain, or send it back because it wasnt cooked how you asked, or brought out sizzlin on the plate. Enjoy it because, well, thats how a 10 year old kid would want their steak

Serious question. Do you think all the NFL talent just shows up at LSU?

With you, brother.

Look, when I heard "Jimbo Fisher," I was excited. It didn't happen. Now, I want to win the bowl game, and sign a great class in February.

I just am not built, like some folks, to be an Eeyore with a black cloud trailing over me ... I mean, there is practice for the bowl game; the bowl game; signing date; spring practice; fall practice. I hope we kick arse next year. If we don't, then we don't, and if that means a new coach, I'm all for it. If we DO have new coach next yr, wouldn't everyone want the team to have a lot of talent on the roster; isn't that depending in part on the upcoming signing class; and, doesn't all this negativity have the potential of hurting the recruiting effort?

Would love folks who feel the need to be negative to have some situational awareness and perhaps shut the frick up, or, find a new team to support.

Sorry to crash the party of negativity that is the Rant, but y'all are some miserable fricks. You take this shite way too seriously.

I look at sports the same way now as I did when I was 10 years old...and that is with a certain innocence that I have refused to let the negative a-holes on this board infiltrate. My favorite team gets to play in another game, and I don't care when it is, who it is against, or where it is...I can't wait to see it. The Tigers are going to suit up against a team that they don't play often and they have a chance to play and win, and that is all that really matters at this moment. When I was 10, I never had the inkling to question coaches, to want people to get fired, or to criticize some of the players on the team. All I knew is that I wanted the Tigers to win. Why does that change as some of you get older?

Of course I would like to be in the playoffs, but that didn't happen this year. Next year looks very promising and I will eagerly anticipate what 2016 holds. Until then, it's Tigers v Red Raiders.

Let me translate:

I do not care as much as some of you. You should not criticize our coach as it is not important if LSU wins or loses. It is much more important to teams like AL, but to LSU, it is not that important.

Let me stick my head in the sand and just hope we get to win, if not, well we did get to play, and at the end of the day that is all that matter, right?

Maybe it's this damn generation growing up with frickin participation ribbons and not keeping score. It's simple economics, but they don't see it. Go to any store right now that sells LSU gear... It's marked on clearance. Why? One reason - Les is still here.

Or because football season is ending and they're clearing their seasonal merchandise. Like a lot of stores do.

And with all that "talent," LSU won NC's in 1958, 2003, and 2007,and played for another one in 2011. And Les Miles is responsible for 2 of those 4 events.

The poster's point was well-taken.

If you're going to criticize Miles, and there is a good bit to criticize, to be sure .... give him credit where credit is due. He's compiled a good record at LSU, it speaks for itself, it does not happen by accident, and if you think just anyone could do what he's done ... you'd be wrong.

Has the game passed him by? Should he be on a very hot seat? Different questions.

But those who totally dismiss any of the man's accomplishments reveal themselves as unreasonable rantards and their comments are not worthy of serious consideration.

Not at all. I recognize the coaches are a big part of getting them here. However, LSU has WAY more advantages now than they did in the 90's. The facilities are among the best in the nation.

Les was a little above average coach when LSU hired him. I'm sure there are more than just a handful of coaches out there who can do just as well, and probably better than what he's done over the last few years.
