This women’s team is missing a playmaker at PG.

Watching today Day-Wilson is awful, if she’s the best we got at the 1 I doubt we contend for anything come March. She’s a liability on offense and defense.
Gilbert is as non existent in today.
It’s wild we are so short at the Guard position.

We lost Angel but didnt bring in any HS bigs and our only transfer was Jersey. Mulkey is an elite coach and she still going to do big things and contend for titles but they definitely as a staff dropped the ball not adding a decent serviceable big from the portal this offseason. Sure LSU is still very good but it just made life so much more difficult.
Our depth isn't where it is due to how our last two HS recruiting cycles went. 2025 is outstanding and has multiple national team members/McDonalds AA. That is the class Kim has been wanting since getting to LSU.
The roster is flawed but still its a good team that can make a deep NCAAT run. This offseason they just gotta portal in some bigs and maybe add one more potential true PG and let that HS class flourish. You'll see much more balance next year IMO with better quality depth

Nobody shot well. At one point they said we were like 6 for 23 on layups. Witch is Evan worse than usual in women’s basketball.

Kim got the two guards out of the portal specially for SC . They bombed out today they failed the big girl test they froze like a Deer in the headlights she needs to give the girl from Lafayette sometime she has a heart .
You can say what you won’t about Dawn her girls are mentally tough .

I disagree. Not long ago everyone on this board was praising Gilbert like she was the second coming. Now all of a sudden, she "has no heart". I think what you saw from Gilbert and Day-Wilson is what happens many times when you see people face SC for the first time. If we play them again, after reviewing the tape of the game, they'll come back better in the next contest. As it is, I still like Day-Wilson at the PG more than Van Lith. Is she great.............? No, but in most games she IS serviceable and not a huge liability on defense.I also believe our PG of the future is freshman Jada Richard. With her, and possibly a transfer PG in the offseason, we'll be very good at the position.
Tonight was a tough loss but it was to the #2 ranked team on THEIR home floor and we still kept the game close. This is only January. We'll be fine.........................................

Kim go get a couple of white girls to shoot 3s from downtown . Williams has let you down in big games . You have more people on your coaching staff than BK many of your players have gotten to fat on the Hog meaning to much publicity and NIL . Those SC girls are not models hell they don’t even put on make up they come to scrap and beat your arse they have a mentality .

Yes but also a true pg.
It is wild to me as great a PG as kim was, that we have struggled recently at that position. We need a little short, feisty, very quick pg that can also play def.

They went to South Carolina on a weird week and lost by ten. We need to make half of the easy shots we missed.

No one shot well. Offense rebounding was ok. But our put0back shots were terrible. LSU missed a lot of short shots after an "O" rebound.
Passing vs So. Carolina was very suspect also.
