Not good enough defensively to give up all the free bases.

Getting better at putting the ball in play.

We’ve given up 50 walks and 7 hit batters so far in conf play. Hard to win many games like that when our bats aren’t hot.

I think it's what the team is capable of, especially if they have Moore for at least one weekend.

No Moore, my answer probably changes.

I would be surprised to see Moore in the next couple of series. Injuries are almost always more severe than what Jay says. I kinda like that he protects the players, so I'm not mad about it. But players never seem to return on the timeline we think.

I hate to say it, but I really think Moore will miss at least a few weekends, and he'd probably return for his first appearance in a relief role. I don't see Jay starting someone who has been shut down completely.

Walks, passed balls, HBP... way too many free bases

UK G1 - 3 run loss, when Dardar was a collective foot away from 3 more RBI and 2HR
Curiel’s “misplay” (tough play but he makes that play more times than not) at the wall allowed them to score 3. Would have likely gotten out of the inning with a 0

This. It’s the biggest issue by far. We have been able to work around the mistakes in the infield and Serna’s growing pains when we haven’t walked batters. We complete shut them out yesterday when we limited the walks. We’ve also hung in all but 3 games with the spotty hitting.

If the staff can get the walks under control, especially Evans and whoever starts Sunday going forward, and we can maintain the same attitude and approach at the plate as 3 out of the last 4 games, then we may have something.

Remember, this team is one hanging curveball and an error on what shoulda been a game winning double play from winning all three series.

2016. But they don’t play at Tennessee that often so it’s not that crazy. They only have won the past two series. And if you go back 4 series we’ve won 2 out of 4.

Our catchers struggle catching the ball and gave up 9 stolen bases the last 2 games.

It was great to see the offense finally produce this weekend. The potential has always been there.

With Evans and Schmitt, we have 2 guys that can absolutely control the outcome of a weekend. Moore when healthy only adds to that. I like these guys best when they're trusting their fastball and throwing strikes, though.

Our bullpen is very talented but is mostly underachieving right now.

Serna is at least a threat to throw guys out. Bide wasn’t at all.

One good thing is no other team in the conference steals or plays small ball half as much as OU and UK do. No one else has their speed either, so there should be a little less pressure on Serna going forward.

Cowan, Sheerin and Fontenot all look pretty solid right now. Garcia is good, but he isn’t consistent yet. He definitely struggled today.

Guidry is a good bullpen pitchers if he’s on, but he needs to be limited to one time through the order. He just isn’t a starter. That experiment needs to end after today.

Now would be a really good time for Lachenmayer and Noot to get their shite together and soak up some innings. They are too experienced to not step forward when we need to cover innings with a guy down.

LSU and Arkansas have the exact same record, both overall and in conference.

Agreed.....for their overall talent they have made too many errors and stupid mistakes.
Also more than the usual times golden glove plays by defences infield and outfield.
I never have seen our bats smoke so many balls right at a position player.
(Also can't understand why the shift works for the opposition and not so my much for us)
