lol should we just sticky this then for this time next year?
We still have happy feet at QB, we lost the OL. And probably our two best WRs… we also lost Mason Taylor.
We haven’t (yet) brought anything in for OLine. By LSU standards we’ve brought in meh recruiting classes and transfer class.
Realistically we probably slightly downgraded at every position except for CB. And even if you were to tell me the unproven kids on the OL will somehow be just as good. And the transfer TE will somehow be just as good as Mason Taylor. And maybe the WRs will be just as good as Lacy and Daniels. The DEs a push, probably a loss too. And then i think CB is only positon we upgraded….
That makes us more or less the same team as last year. A team that had 4 losses (and should have been more). Nuss still the QB and he aint got it, so it’s moot anyway even if we did have the guys around him.
Fact is this team is not a title contending team for 2025 and it’s already evident in December 2024.
To me that’s not acceptable for LSU standards. It’s odd to me that not only are some people okay with it, theyre happy with it. I guess that’s what years of settling does to your program mentality tho

That’s even worse because that means Brad Davis coached them down below their talent level. He will have less talent to work with next year especially at tackle.
On the flip side of that, David did a really good job getting that line from a hodge podge of 2 true freshmen, a portal guy, an undersized Center and 1 returning starter and got decent results from them in 22. And they improved through 23.
But you’re also right that David failed badly at getting them to the next level last offseason. If anything, they regressed and that wasn’t just because Daniels moved on.
Let’s hope Davis can return to his 22-23 form in molding this new OL this offseason.

Yeah, having the 3rd biggest blue chip rating of this class is fricking bullshite. WE WILL NOT STAND FOR IT!!!

75% of what you posted is pure crap. Blatant lies, starting with Nuss.
He was a top SEC QB this year, and barring injury should be a top QB next year too

Lost our best recruits. Missed out on the best transfers.
You're right. Pickett sucks, Sol Thomas was totally expected and sucks, Van Buren is terrible and Delane couldn't cover a paraplegic!
Seriously, I'm shocked that some of you people can feed and clothe yourselves!

Fantastic job by the staff; great pickups at all positions of need.
You know the LSU coaches are doing well when the usual trolls start melting like they did today.

Both Daniels and Burrow had two NFL #1 WR’s to throw to. Hopefully we get at least one for Nuss and hopefully he learns to use his legs better. He did a good job with what he had on offense except his timing on when to run. Give him a few WR’s close to Chase or Jefferson and I have to think he will have a great year.
