"Like every coach, I am trying to build a championship caliber program. Accordingly, I look at what has worked for other great programs to help them reach that championship status. I study the coaches who have had great success. I study the coaches that everyone in college basketball admires, like Coach Calipari, Coach Bill Self, Coach Valvano, and perhaps the greatest Coach in college basketball history, the great Coach K. I study what they do and I study what they say, and I try to emulate them.
So, to quote what the great Coach K in this matter, all I have to say about this is, "This is just a blip."

I love it. And if anyone could do it, it would be Will Wade. He DGAF, and I can't think of a better slap in the face to the NCAA and their corrupt, preferential system than this.

The best route is to stay silent, and if the NCAA gets involved don't give them the time of day and deny it.

Then cast the blame elsewhere.

Turn them into the bad guy. Question their ethics with their investigation and bring to light past cases where they have overstepped their power and outright botched an investigation. Then hit them with the death nail and bring back Lester Earl and his statements.

Admit nothing, deny everything and make counter-accusations.

100% this.

If Wade makes any comment now, all he's doing is giving the NCAA rope to hand him with.

It's 100% NO COMMENT until he is compelled.

I just like the idea of firing a shot across the bow of the entire system, the press, and their hypocrisy.

Of course, he's going to give a statement about this to the press. My above suggestion should be that statement.

It admits no guilt.

However, I wouldn't make any statement to the court...plead the fifth. Who knows how many tapes there are?

There will be plenty of time for that in the future.

If he listens to his legal counsel, no he won't and he shouldn't. He gains nothing by making any statement.

I'm pretty sure this isn't one of those situations when pleading the fifth is an option. He's not on trial; therefore, he cannot incriminate himself of criminal wrongdoing.
