your correct, you can give your opinion without cry babies name calling you and degrading your comments cause they don't agree. It's the same 6 or 7 guys who do it and a couple of them are the same person. It's pathetic
Because all you do is consistently bitch. You deserve no pass for your antics. I will continue calling you out for your horseshite, as I am sure others will too. You are a phony.

Me too. Last post won the argument. But, all of you who come in here and try to act like you are God’s gift to evaluating baseball and criticize others for having an opinion are laughably ridiculous.
There is a difference between calling out a Coach for a shitty product on the field & calling out a Coach for sitting a player when said player wasn’t actually cleared to play
As I said in deleted thread, this tops sitting “the hottest hitter for no reason” when said player had hand surgery
It’s an opportunity to call out CPM when OP doesn’t actually know shite about the team
quote:
Even if Travinski was hurt, he’s not anymore. Regarding Beloso, sure he’s hit some balls hard, but he also has shown no flashes of the same power he had this year. Which is particularly concerning considering the fact that the Box has turned into Coors Field.
Travinski was JUST cleared
Beloso’s strength right now is getting on base
quote:
Simply suggesting someone is an idiot for acknowledging his problems and providing their ideas for an alternative is ridiculous.
Suggesting Travinski, who has caught 5 innings all season, should replace our starting catcher deserves being called an idiot

I like Beloso and hope he turns it around but he is struggling. Last night they pitched around Travinski for his one walk to get to him. Right now travinski is a hotter bat with higher OBP and batting average.

Beloso is the ONLY guy in there who has hit SEC pitching before. He’s hittting the ball and drawing walks
Can’t take him out
Can’t take him out

Morgan is a mini-slump since UNO
I am wondering if Morgan’s slump is a result of him trying to hit to left field too much. He had some success hitting the other way but it looks like he is now trying to do it on every pitch. It may have messed up his swing instead of going with the pitch. And you can tell he is getting frustrated which also doesn’t help.

All I'm saying is that no one on here advised he was hurt when the first post was geared toward receiving that information. Instead it turned into a Milazzo, Beloso, Travinski thread.
Look I'll eat crow and admit being wrong about the injury thing, because I didn't know about it, despite watching most games and typically just monitoring this board. But, PM's comments last night were the first I've seen advising he wasn't cleared to play. Understand bringing a guy along, and waiting until he is medically cleared.
However, I do want to point out that nearly everyone didn't even refer to an injury and just simply clings to Milazzo being far superior behind the plate. So, it appears that some people are talking out both sides of their mouth on this one.
Now, I do think that Hayden should get a first look, or at least a shot at being the #1 catcher (if and/or when he is capable of catching a full game), since the reason he wasn't playing due to injury as opposed to ability. Last night I saw nothing last night from Hayden that suggested he is a liability behind the plate, and his bat and potential are, obviously, far superior to any of the others. You just have to weight the pros and cons here and hopefully realize that a Big League bat is more valuable going into SEC play than a great defensive catcher, particularly when our starting pitching is so stout. If need be let Hayden start and catch the studs, and bring Milazzo in when the wheels inevitably fall off with the bull pen.
Seems to me that any suggestion that he's not a capable catcher is just a developed narrative, because... how could it not be if he's just a sophomore, we didn't play baseball last year, and he's been hurt and unable to do it? I can tell you that his catching ability was not a major concern, or maybe even a concern at all coming out of high school.

This isn't the 90s any more. Can you find a team in the NCAA where the entire starting nine are batting over .300?
I'll hang up and listen.

There are plenty of players who hit below 0.300 in college and are successful in the MLB.
