As long as "The Kreg" can develop a consistent QB on the current roster I will be pleasently happy.

dont think it was much a "thought process"

Miles has plainly said he likes QBs in their final years because they traditionally play well;
general statement when asked about Jefferson months ago.

Let him play, if hes not "getting it" once again then give the other guy a shot.
Thats all anyone really expects/hopes for at this point.

I think it's pretty safe to say that experience weighs heavy in Miles assessments of the QB's.

which has nothing to do with the reasons the poster listed...

then say that. if you're going to post that the ONLY reason the guy will play is b/c he's a senior is lame and you know it. I didn't attack the poster. I just pointed out how little he put into his post. Not to mention acting as if Les is alone in this is pretty funny as well. Why not say experience weighs heavy for most head coaches?

Can't debate? Attack the poster

Cause his list was such a powerful debate point.

Carry on nega Miles folks.

Not a fair comparison. Two different style coaches. Crowton played players. Krag teaches and coaches and plays them.

Is that not why you recruit players that will fit into the offensive system that you are running?

GC's offense ran fine with Flynn and not so well with JJ. I tend to think that it's more JJ than it was GC..... but this season will shed a lot of light on that and whom was to blame.....

Developing a consistent QB is indeed one of Krag's main responsibilities. I can see an entire summer full of posts about this QB battle--
everyone should remember that fall practices have not even started yet & there's a long way to go. Also in today's college football, you usually need two QB's to get through a season because of the strong possibiliity of injuries.

Well beyond the "thought", JJ is a qb and having a senior qb play over a sophomore qb is pretty much a no brainer.

Not if the sophomore is playing better.

This has been a big point of the negamiles crowd. They bitch these guys aren't getting coached up. Now we put a guy in there that is going to do this and they try to paint Les as a mindless goon that will play JJ for no good reason.

Whoa there buddy. I didn't mean it as an attack on Miles, but more as a matter of fact answer.

Just because your hormones are acting up doesn't give you the right to jump and pounce on me. Good Lord. That's a prime example of somebody that is living in such rage that you immediately see something and go off on the person assuming it's an attack on you or something you believe in.

ETA: If you wouldn't be on your period, you could read what I wrote and gathered that I meant the whole experience because he's a senior angle. But because you're PMSing, you turned into a fricking 3 headed monster on me...

I agree the back up has to be as well polished as the starter where both QB's have a lot of the same tendencies. If Kreg has to game plan for two different style QB's it cits down on the quality reps in practice that each recieve.

I believe being a senior has something to do with experience.

Well, he threw for 17 TD's and 7 INT's in 2009, so the question is, which JJ will we get?

touche. Who'd have thought he could be that awful after 2009?

Miles has stated that experience is a factor. JJ will start.

i believe it has more to do with playing 4 consecutive years and starting 3 of them.

He'll have more experience than just about anyone in D1 ball starting this year.
