This is the worst pitching staff I've ever seen at LSU

Even the starting pitching was never very strong.

We sweep this team if we have our normal starting pitching this weekend, and I don't think anyone could argue otherwise.

The best one got hurt. Evans is still solid, but is much better on the back end of games. Schmidt needs to develop a fastball with movement.

You don't think we would have won all three games if we got 10 extra innings from our starters this weekend? On a weekend where scored 8+ runs in every game?

The starters have been average at best in conference games.

I mean maybe? Last week Evans gave up 6 runs in 5 innings. Btw, Mississippi State’s Friday night guy is also injured.

Would you rather Cooper Moore and Casan Evans? Or Ricken, Zion, Williams, Garcia, Guidry, Paz, Fontenot, Noot, and Rizy? And an extremely stretched out Sheerin and Cowan?

Use your brain here. Average is significantly better than back of the bullpen guys. When you miss starters, you not only lose their innings, but you add a lot more stress to the bullpen.

JJ has said he’s the best college pitching coach in the country. Just saying.

Yep. Your bullpen guy becomes a starter and guys you'd use in midweek duty have to throw in weekend pressure situations.

Im tired of hearing that excuse. If losing one pitcher affects the team success that harshly we are poorly built and our pitching staff sux!

Which is crazy considering how few arms we had in 2018 and 2022.

This team was loaded on paper. Not a single one has been great though.
