We were that good. That isn't me being a homer either. All of the national pundits were saying the same thing. Even Finebaum announced us as a serious playoff contender.

It was probably a combination of both. LSU is worlds better than GSU. I don't think there is any denying that. If you look at the past though, we have let these teams hang around in games for a while. You could see it was a beat down, but the score didn't usually reflect that. That wasn't the case yesterday. We put our foot on the gas from the get go and didn't let up. That's refreshing to see from an LSU team, and was fun to watch.
It doesn't mean LSU will be able to replicate that against much better teams, but there is no doubt this was a different offensive approach than we are used to seeing. For that, I'm excited.

I agree....I was there in person and saw it with my own eyes and couldnt believe the level of domination in the first quarter. Scary good!

Oh they are here. Probably responding to this post too. Idiots claiming that we will lose to Texas and go 9-3. I bet they are reconsidering that now that they saw this explosive offensive slaughter last night. Then when we whip up on Texas next week they will probably disappear for awhile and return as pumpers when we get into SEC play and re-nigg on their ridiculous comments.

Of course it is, but they do that every Sunday morning on the 6 am SportsCenter every season. The analysts give their top 4 and this season they're gonna give an extra team that can get in as of that broadcast.
