Not in 2025 it don't. You can keep living back then if you want. This team can't beat anyone above them.
The team is 25-2 in a transition year after losing Angel and this team is outperforming last years team in line for a 2 seed.
We have the dumbest fans.

Hey Jug. I'm sure the coach that has won multiple NC would love for you to join the staff and school her up on the correct way to coach.

They have some very spoiled and uneducated fans on this site.

Agree..zero half court offense due to lack of point guard.. u would think coach could recruit a point guard.. would eliminate half of the turnovers and allow some teaching of X’s and O’s..would help stop all this running around out of Control with your hair on fire..

Easy there Hulkster.
Me and the other poster at first glance thought this was about baseball, and not some slight at the lady Tigers.
Kim will have these ladies ready for a deep run in the tournament

I'm surprised she doesn't get more criticism. Yes, she won a title but that isn't the current team, who is good enough to win but need to be led to it. She has had 1 major thing from a coaching decision standpoint that has shown its head multiple times and it's her preference for seniority.
Richard is a better pg right now than both Poa and Day-Wilson but Mulkey won't give her the minutes. Yes, she will make a freshman mistake here or there but Poa and Day-Wilson make the same freshman mistakes, multiple times a game as seniors.
She also needs to put Flau'jae on the bench when she starts making bad decisions. She feels like she has the greenlight whenever but with 2 other options on the floor as go to's, you get the best shot. She reels Gilbert in this way but won't do it to Flau'jae.

As a long time fan of the program, I generally bite my tounge when it comes to criticizing coach Mulkey. However, we're 27 games into the season at this point. The fact that Wolfenbarger, Del Rosario, and Gilbert all got six minutes or less is really on her. We had a double digit lead and, yes, we may lose some of that lead while the bench players are in. But at this point of the season you MUST get our starters some rest.
I thought it was obvious that Johnson and Williams had tired legs in the fourth quarter of that game. We should have won that game by double digits, but they DID run out of gas. It might be time for her to just go ahead and trust the bench players to do their part. Let them play significant minutes and if we lose a bit of the lead, at least our stars will have enough energy to win the game in the fourth quarter if need be. I thought it was obvious we had the three best players on the floor against Texas, yet they just wore us down. This is not a good recipe for success once we get past the sweet sixteen in the NCAA tournament. Just my opinion.................

coaching is not the issue
using her bench is the main criticism you can have

But the bench, is on the coach if you haven't developed it or don't trust it and when you literally don't play kids against good comp, they won't know what that is when they see it. Richard, Del Rosario, Sheppard and Gilbert should have been getting 8-12+ piece against the lower level SEC teams, then in games like this, in the SEC and NCAA tourney they have a better chance if they step in. At this point, they are unprepared to help so you are trying to steal minutes. That is risky and its on coaching.

Kim Mulkey is the only LSU basketball coach that has won a championship and she is a bad coach! Do you think we would have our only championship if Mulkey didn’t come?

The bench won us the TN game. Great execution from Gilbert, Sheppard, Jada and Jersey gave solid D
Gilbert, Sheppard def should have gotten more than 6 min.
Flaujae and MK looked a bit fatigued late

.............................and THAT is the point I was making earlier. Not only did they play well against Tennessee, they also played well against MSU. At that point I was really encouraged because it appeared our bench was playing well and that Kim was finally trusting them.........................................then we got what we got yesterday.
Wolfenbarger - 5 minutes
Sheppard - 6 minutes
Gilbert 5:30 minutes
Del Rosario - 1:30 minutes
That's not enough time for players to even get into the flow of the game, especially if they're scorers like Gilbert and Sheppard.
Also, Day-Wilson got 9 minutes and Poa got 26 minutes. At this point, just make Poa the starter and bring Day-Wilson off the bench. Neither of them give us anything offensively, but Poa IS better defensively than Day-Wilson, who is a liability on defense and STILL makes dumb decisions on the court.
Now, one thing I can mention is that Kim did say in her post game press conference that she should've given the starters more rest, and hopefully she does so moving forward. Otherwise, it's going to be difficult for this team to do anything beyond the elite eight in the NCAA tournament. I hate to be somewhat negative but it feels like we're wasting Gilbert and Sheppard, when they could be giving Johnson and WIlliams significant rest.
