LSU was going to have to beat good teams to get to the championship series anyway. Those same teams are still in the way. They are not eliminated yet.

The only time I remember a game 1 loser winning it all was USC in 1998. I remember watching LSU win game 1 against USC and thought "Damn, we got lucky to win that game". I doubt any TCU people feel that way...

It's baseball-over the course of a season and that many games, you're bound to lose one and look bad doing it. Hey, Kansas City beat San Fran 10 -0 in game 6 last year...and lost the one that counted!!!
