That said, Florida would be a huge emotional high if we win and a minimal emotional low if we lose (close
But how great it would be to beat them twice in the same year.
Or the dreaded possibility of getting the L twice against them

Two losses to east teams = 1 loss to west teams in most situations.

Your ignorance is astounding!
Because I do not think we will win the West and therefore want to set up as good a backup prize as possible?
Let me guess, 06 wouldn't have been more painful for you if we couldn't even have gotten a BCS at large bid. After all, who cares where we go if we can't go the SEC championship? It isn't like a BCS spot carries significant prestige and national exposure with it, which in turn helps recruiting a LOT. Nah, far better to just let Bama slip in there again even if they lose the SEC championship. It isn't like we are in direct competition with them for recruits down the stretch.

Tradition shows that the team that loses during the regular season tends to win in the championship game. The old adage that "You learn more from a loss than a victory."
If you asked me which one I'd prefer...

OK I fricked this up. I have no logical evidence to confirm my statements.......therefore I will pull the "swagga" card on y'all.
See my next post.
Just because I tried a different approach because the initial one wasn't sinking in doesn't change anything. It certainly isn't evidence that I am wrong, just that I am arguing against hardheads.
Sure, going to the SEC championship is a primary goal, but some of ya'll are talking like it is the ONLY goal and frick the rest. Let the chips fall where they may, I don't care.
But I am the illogical one.

The problem this year is that neither Auburn, Alabama, nor Ole Miss play Florida this year. Only LSU. I'm not sure any of these West teams will have 2 losses to the East.
Auburn still plays Kentucky and UGA.
Bama still plays USC and Tennessee
Ole Miss has a loss and still plays Tennessee
I really think it will be Bama and LSU playing for the spot.

backup prize
Winning the SEC is the goal of every LSU team. We do not have to win this game to win the SEC. Winning against Alabama, Ole Miss, Auburn, ect. is much more important that beating Florida. If you would have read the title of the thread instead of posting random ignorance you would have saved yourself from the embarrassment of looking like a jackass.

It IS the only goal. You play to win the conference. It is the only thing you can control. LSU cannot determine how well Texas plays, or Boise State, or Virginia Tech. Besides, who, realistically thought in the preseason or any time up until now that LSU had a good shot at Pasadena?
