Ceedee Lamb is a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award with 58 catches, 1208 receiving yards, and 14 receiving touchdowns. Justin Jefferson, LSU's #2 receiver, has 88 catches, 1207 yards, and 14 touchdowns. Our #2 is as good as anyone else's #1.

Ok our WRs are awesome and our passing game is the best in the country.

But CeeDee matched Jeffersons stats on 30 less catches. He also missed at least 2 games I believe

I am taking nothing away from Jefferson but Lamb is legit. He missed a few games due to injuries. IMO, Lamb is the most dangerous WR in CFB after the catch. And let's be fair, there is a huge gap in QB passing quality between LSU and OU.

And Jefferson was our #2 receiver is the point.

LSU has 5 players with at least 37 catches...OU's 3rd receiver has 18.

Right, but Jefferson probably isn't as dynamic of a play maker as CeeDee Lamb. So to use this set of stats to say our number two is as good as anyone's number one is silly.

I think his point is that we had 2 WRs who put up yards and TDs on pace for the top WR award.

The post is about our passing game as a whole. When I said "as good as" I meant statistically. However you want to divvy up the credit the stats are what they are.

Yeah god forbid someone make an objective comment recognizing another team or player while complimenting our own.

I dunno. Jefferson looked mighty productive against the one shitty Big 12 defense he played.

Maybe but those TD's he's making are as dynamic as we need.

Lamb is a beast after the catch. Very hard to get a handle on, extremely strong balance and shiftiness.
Hurts runs the ball too much and it limits his passes. Plus Hurts has been a turnover machine late in the season.

Lamb is great and is a beast, but just doesnt get the ball thrown at him as much. Hurts is not Burrow.

47 of the 49 TD passes were to WRs. Let that sink in for a damn minute when there were years when we couldn’t complete an out route.

OP is talking about the overall passing attack, not the comparison of wide receivers.
