The OL is a big issue. Just because they are experienced doesn’t mean they are better.

There are more unanswered questions on this team than there are sure fire bets.

So true DV10, I’ll never forget several years ago the great self proclaimed football program that is la tech had the last ranked defense in the country. They have this journalist supposedly sports writer whom is obviously paid by the billionaire James Davidson, and son lil Davidson (booster president) to write propaganda in MONROE’s NewsStar paper, not Rustons but the Monroe paper to talk of la tech athletics which he does at a nauseous scale as if they were the state school. Anyway he was talking about gay tech having a true veteran defense returning, which included all 11 starters, how their experience would be the key for the football team and I thought if you have the WORST D in the country all coming back I would hope you would surely pray none of them were coming back. So to your point experience returning doesn’t mean good improvement is coming it means you haven’t found anyone good enough to fill the ineffectiveness of the play the last season. Now to LSU cause they do have new coaches and system to help, but la tech didn’t, but they did improve to the 7th worst defense in the country so I guess experience matters sometimes in the eyes of a delusional fan base. I just hope it helps LSUs OL.

I think the issue wasn’t talent or lack of last year, or that wasn’t the key problem. I honestly believe that with a normal year LSU would have looked more like 2018. With all the changes as well as all the off the field issues it struck LSU differently than everyone else because it all happened at the same time as all the new players and coaches being on the team. This had a huge affect and it spiraled.

Of course the opposing fans will try to make the most of it but I also believe that they know deep down that it was a one off year for LSU. There may be some die hard idiots out there but for the most part they know and want to create as much negative buzz as possible and give some of our more emotional young fans a head ache.

I’ve watched football all my life and played a little as well so I know good when I see it and i can usually predict when we will have 3 to 4 loses and that isn’t this year unless something very very wrong occurs. That was another issue last year, was that our staring QB was injured right when it seemed like he was gaining momentum and who knows what may have happened had Stingley been his normal self and Marshall would have stayed when Boutte caught fire as well as Ricks? That could have changed the year for us!

This will be a barely above average team.

Yeah that’s why people who ACTUALLY know football seem to think this team could be a great team! Dude stfu with your negative arse.

The team looks to be pretty damn good with a lot of returning starters. However, we are ranked pre-season # 11, so I hardly think we are underrated.

10-2 to 12-0. All depends on Max and the Oline.
