It’s hilarious yet frustrating reading all of these stupid topics as if it’s the end of LSU if this and if that are not satisfied.

Without a doubt, but as it applies directly to the DT situation, that is a legit huge issue.
You had a position group last year who did not have a true D-line coach the entire season (one still hasn't been hired but not a big deal at this point, as the damage is done), they were an absolute disaster in just about every aspect, they had poor technique, likely due to lack of coaching, they had a lack of quality depth, and two starters declared for the draft leaving it even more thin.
It can fixed, but at this point, even if they got the two best portal prospects, they will have missed spring practice and would have to over achieve expectations to be considered for the two deep, much less as starters.
