Leonard did great things for LSU. He's no longer at LSU and is making millions of dollars to produce

News out of JAX stating that all of the remaining guarantees in his rookie contract has been voided due to his suspension earlier this year. Also he was told about this weeks ago.

Below average? Are you stupid or something?

I'm a huge lf7 fan, not so much of the NFL.. (and I don't mean all this political stuff I mean I just prefer college football)

But, what are the average rb stats in the nfl and what are his? If hes better than stupid statement, if not, then real statement.

He had a really good rookie season and if they get a decent qb he will be good

It was average. He barely broke 1000 yards with an extended playoff run. Take away two long runs and he had a pretty average season. He still doesn't see the hole well etc.
HIs attitude is pitiful. I think he has become somewhat entitled. He's about to become someone's reclamation project.
Maybe this will be a wake up call for him.
BTW, Bortles does indeed suck and the Jax OL is really pitiful. Also, Fournette isn't the reason the Jag defense sucked this year. The season didn't revolve around Fournette's injury or play. How they kept Marrone as coach is puzzling.

Yeah, let’s blame the organization and not the player. This is the same thing that happens in the homes and schools nowadays. Blame someone else instead of just laying it on the shoulders of the one truly at fault.

Oh and by the way ... coughlin >>>>>>>> LF

LF7 is about to put on a clinic on how to go from a crappy team to the Steelers or patriots all while making that crappy team look stupid for cutting one of their best players.

I would imagine that the real issues are 1) Fournette’s slow recovery from a hammy, and 2) he’s packed on a noticeable amount of weight and seems a step slower.

I doubt it. LF did so good in college because he physically overmatched the defense and now that isn’t the case. He’s just another average injury prone back in the NFL and those types of backs don’t last.

Barry Sanders had pretty bad oline and Qb play during his time at Detroit and it didn't stop him from producing. Leonard hits the hole too fast and doesn't have the patience or vision to see where the hole is opening up say like a Leveon Bell or Zeke does.

You guys must get off on being negative about LSU guys who hurt your feelings for skipping bowl games.

LF was probably the best back in college football his sophomore season. He overpowered defenses because he was good. Yeah he might be injury prone but he ran for over 1,000 yds in 2017. Put him on the Steelers, pats, or colts and he tears it up. He might be injury prone but he’s better than an average NFL back.

Honestly, this board is disgusting at times with how much stupid is on it.

Look I’m just calling it like it is man. Yes he was very good in college but the NFL is a totally different animal. That rushing total last year included the playoff games giving him an average of 80 yards a game which isn’t bad but it’s not exactly great either. He’s also extremely injury prone which is a career killer for a NFL back.

LF has always liked attention and special treatment in college. Hes just another RB in the NFL, though.

I’ll give you that unless he plays in 16-17 games next year he is injury prone.

But put him on a real playoff team and his numbers are way better.

In fact, to counter your point, he played well last year and jax made the playoffs. This year he plays in 8 games and they are 5-11.

Fournette is just a good back that got too much hype that was impossible for him to live up to. He’s not a game changing running back. He was over drafted

Fournette is a real disappointment. His behavior is not becoming and his production is abysmal.

Seems like he feels he deserves AP level status without the stats

And this below average running back was the only and very reason that this team did anything of worth last year.

you're wrong. that team was led by their insane D and all the turnovers/TDs they created

fournette wasn't anything special last year and certainly wasn't "the only reason" for anything. plenty of RBs could have done what he did

Their defense would be better with better LB play as well.

who are you replacing? jack or smith?

First they need to invest in a real QB and then acquire his OL

they have invested in OL the past few years, just fyi. they almost spent $70M on Norwell this past offseason
