This announcer wants to make the 3d game of a series 7 innings.

Explain to me how it's not a good idea or his idea is, by default, better than yours.

Dave Neal is in the final week of the regular season in a game that's basically been decided with a team that's sucks changing pitchers every other batter. I don't blame him.

Let's go ahead and make non-conference football games end after the third quarter.

Yea. But I can see where on a Saturday night at 11pm he's ready to get out of there

the way they should shorten the game is the pacing.

here are some real easy ones that don't change the way the game is played.

1) batter can't leave the batters box between pitches unless he calls time or foul ball.
2) limit catchers visits on the mound.
3) limit pitching coaches visits to mound more than just per inning.

Dave Neil has become a dick! Doesn't enough about baseball to be be announcing.

Like 2 & 3. Not a fan of 1, because it kind of means you can't get signs from a coach in between pitches.

The game was almost exactly 3 hours. That's longer than most college games these days. 2.5 hours is pretty normal with the pace clock. But 3 hours is generally what the basic time of a baseball game is. So I don't know why this game would make people want to try to shorten games. Pretty much just because LSU was crushing crappy SC and no one wanted to be there anymore. How about SC gets better at baseball? A 3 hour baseball game is pretty normal.

Since those happen so often...
