I'm not sure the 25-35 mile separation is equivalent to the 80+ miles.
When you talk travel time it is.
Now I understand 635 has improved since I left... but it used to take forever to get from Dallas to Ft. Worth. I guarantee you I could get to N.O. from B.R. quicker than Dallas to Ft. Worth.

I just remembered something.
Dallas does have "First Saturday". I do miss that. I brought my wife one time. She almost got raped. She laughs everytime she sees the coffee mug I have.
Do they still have First Saturday.

I think the point of this thread was to discuss what there is to do while people are here for the game. Stop turning it into a pissing match about which city is better.

as someone from a northern big city where all we do is tell everyone how awesome we are, i have never met anyone as stuck up and arrogant as the people from texas. ive never seen such a high and mighty attitude

So your 2 retard friends moved back--great. The remaining non-mouth breathers have stayed.
I graduated in 98 and will never move back. I have lived in Denver, Dallas and now Fort Worth.
Baton Rouge is my home and I enjoy the 3 or 4 home games that I return for each year. However, when it comes to my livelihood and happiness? I'll stay in Texas, thanks.

I've done both. I know for a fact. Bear in mind this was when I lived there about 9 years ago. Things might have changed since then. But it took almost an hour to go from Preston Rd. to Grapevine and as you know Grapevine is well before Ft. Worth.

WOW, pure genius. And you are probably right nobody in existence other than me and my two "retard" friends ever moved back.
Pure genius.

I live in the metroplex and Dallas does have a lot to do for any one.
If you like sports: catch a Rangers game, take a tour of Jerry's world (pre-game), tons of golf courses (some really nice ones but pricey).
If you like food: tons of great restaurants all over the metroplex
If you like music: there is almost always someone worth seeing each week
If you like gambling: just an hour to Okla. or 3 to La
If you like girls: Just go anywhere, there are plenty to choose from.
Etc, etc.....
My point is, there is just about something for everyone.....just do a little research.
